Author has written 5 stories for Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, and Magi/マギ. AYYO, and a big fat welcome to my profile page! \(*0*)/ *offers a plethora of cakes and other confectionaries* Anyways, I love reading - well, indulging myself in any form of storytelling, really - as well as writing and art. I love doing a lot of different things. And I am utterly obsessed with food! Cake is my husband, though. Teehee~ My Hogwarts' House is Slytherin. Realistically speaking, I'm a Slytherin-Ravenclaw mix with a side dish of Hufflepuff. x3 The stories that I'm focusing on include: The Dance Of Life (Magi story) and Petals Of Memory or Trampled Flowers, Beloved Flowers (Vinland Saga collection of one-shots/snippets/drabbles - will be posted soon and I'm still trying to decide on which of those 2 titles I should pick). The rest of my fanfictions are in a temporary hiatus. Further down is just some general housekeeping and ramblings~ * GENERAL DISCLAIMER FOR ALL OF MY FAN STORIES: All canonical work is under the ownership of their respective creators. All fanworks posted are intended for personal, entertainment and non-commercial use. No copyright infringement is intended. * I only own the following: My OCs, non-canon places; ideas, events, storylines and plots that are my own and not in the original canon; and, my imagination~ :3 * Updating Stories: Kindly never ask me about updating stories or an update schedule and other stuff like that; please and thank you. I can only write, edit and update my hobby when I can. Work is my priority and I'm going to school to help me get professionally certified. I like to take my time writing as that will give my stories the best possible outcomes on a number of elements. The chapters for my fanfictions tend to be long or medium-long (or sometimes medium in length), and I don't update until these pages are as much to my satisfaction as possible (I also have an abundance of patience and I simply don't like to rush things unnecessarily and time equates to more quality). I also make sure to take the time to reply to reviews. (As a quick side-note: Yes, there are times that I'm able to update a little more "frequently"; unfortunately, that is only sometimes). At the end of the day, I will write what I want to write; I'll write what I want to read, and I will update first whichever story I feel like updating first. Despite that, why do I upload here, then? Because it's fun. Insanely fun. I love reading stories and I love sharing my own~ :3 What To Expect Going Into My Stories: 1) To explain my publishing stories in the T category despite my stating in their summaries that they have more of a T/M rating: I write what I think fits; I write without pulling my punches and I don't like to be limited. That being said, however, I also don't force mature situations if nothing really calls for them as that can be really off-putting. So, if a story ends up being really mature later on because that's just how it naturally developed, then I'll officially change the rating to a M; but if it stays the way is has been, then I keep said rating to T with a T/M indication in the summary. Just a heads up about why my stories are rated T/M: I try to handle things as maturely as possible; some overall disturbing things because that's unfortunately life; colourful uses of language (more or less depending on the characters involved and what their situations are); fighting, violence, some gore, and probably a hint of torture and sadism because some people be crazy (O.O); mild to intense romantic and sexual situations, as well as some full-on sex scenes. And yes, I'm one of those people who thoroughly enjoys a great and well-written sex scene between two cutie adults who have developed so much together in which such a loving, passionate and romantic yet steamy act would, in my opinion, actually add to the part of the story pertaining to the couple's relationship. I especially love the ones that manage to describe the actions well while simultaneously writing it in a classy or an erotic sort of way and combining it with descriptions of the characters' emotions - seriously, it's such a skill when I come across an author who manages to do this artistically and well, and I hope to build up my skills in all manners of writing~ 2) Multiple genres because I have not and will never write a story with less than five genres - it's just more exciting that way for me. Although there are many stories out there that I like that have, say, two or three categories, most of my personal favourites tend to have quite a list of genres and subgenres attached to them. Whether they be major genres or minor subgenres, the following are what I usually incorporate in some way, shape or form: Adventure, fantasy, historical, character interaction-focused/LOTS of relationship-building (friendship, family and romance), hurt/comfort, angst, drama, action, tragedy, humour, coming-of-age and slice-of-life. The following are genres/subgenres that I don't always incorporate, but will sometimes do depending on the story: Spiritual, supernatural, suspense/thriller and sci-fi. I've a preference for balancing the fantasy with realism (with more edge to fantasy since this is fictional writing and I want to have fun). xD I also like the whole myriad of these different genres as they portray both the good, the bad and the in between of what life is; I just enjoy balancing the light, the dark, and all of that even better juicy greeeeeeeeeey~ *0* 3) OCs and AU elements (some stories will have a lot of AU things, others won't have much, and some others will get a little more AU as the story goes on). Pretty self-explanatory. They're just fabulous awesome sauce and are what makes fanfiction so very fun and exciting. So yeah - explorations into the not-very-explored parts of canon; expanding and additions of characterizations for canon characters; OCs and canons interacting (and good character developments); some changes to canon events (depending on how everything develops); more worldbuilding, and all of that sexy good stuff~ Oh yeah, and DETAILS. Details and lots of descriptions are definitely a preference of mine whenever I want to read or write something, so I really want to improve further on that myself. The more details, the better, and I find that I'm able to enjoy and submerge myself into a story more~ Overall Things I Like To Read On Here (and some preferences): I adore variety and will read most things from a bunch of different fandoms. Although M-rated stories are a preference because they usually have bits of everything and have no limitations, so to speak; I can easily and equally enjoy a more T-rated or K-rated story. I tend to prefer OCs (doesn't matter if it's one main OC, or if the story centres on a bunch of them) and AUs (doesn't matter if it's a couple of AU elements, or if the story's full-blown AU). I mean, this is fanfiction after all - why else would I be here? xD If I wanted to read about total 100% canonicity, then I'd reread/re-watch the original source material. Some exceptions, of course: Delving deep into a canon character's psyche; exploring canon 'what if' scenarios; expanding some canon things that the original writer unfortunately never did . . . But even these require some AU things and maybe at least one OC. But yeah, OCs and AUs are always super fabulous pluses in my book and I think that we need a lot more of them, especially in the smaller fandoms. :3 I love reading through the views of one or more extra characters; seeing what kind of input and influence they'll have on the story/characters/world. Additionally, OCs can very much present more worldbuilding in some way, shape or form, and worldbuilding's always an excellent thing to have in stories. I also kind of see authors adding in OCs as a form of nice, little challenge to themselves to see how they can handle doing as such whilst dealing with the canon characters/storylines, so it's all so very fun to experience when reading or writing a fanfiction~ I'm also utterly in love to the ends of the universe and beyond with time-travel and the 'world-hopping' element (both OCs ending up in fictional worlds and canon characters ending up in our world/other worlds). These types of stories are so insanely fascinating, adventurous, exciting, fun, intense and emotional; they never bore me, and they tend to be some of the best fanfics that I've ever read, especially when handled well and with some sort of plan (my opinion, of course). I love the fish-out-of-water idea, seeing characters displaced from their normal lives; I adore explorations into travelling through different worlds/realities/dimensions and time-travel; and, I absolutely love explorations into the reincarnation element~ \(*0*)/ This one's heavily opinionated and blunt, but I'm not much of a shipper (I really don't like bs pairings) and I do kind of have this passion for solid and well-developed relationships that actually work with the characters, so here goes: I'm HUGE on the CanonXOC romances here, especially of the slow-build variety. This is just my opinion, but I tend to find that most canon characters from all of these different stories who don't end up in an official canon pairing aren't all that compatible with each other in that regard and just wouldn't make sense to me as couples (though, I find that the friendship route tends to work better and be more believable in these cases). I'm easily no fan of slapping two characters together who just don't make sense romantically (and didn't have much potential in the first place even if they were love interests/potential love interests in the beginning - not all love interests/potential love interests even work as a couple. Friends feels more realistic, but romantically? No thanks). But yeah, I'm just not into forcing characters that wouldn't realistically work based on their characteristics, portrayals and what we've seen of them in the canon material; have little to no actual romantic chemistry (sometimes even lacking at least a decent friendship chemistry), and a severe lack of credibility and proper development. (Heck, these are also points as to why I don't even like some official canon couples. xD But most official pairings I do end up either loving or having an 'I-don't-care-but-I-also-don't-dislike-it' type of opinion). I don't do the whole "obsessed, trigger-happy shipper with rose-tinted glasses who thinks that the most normal interactions ever equate to serious true love" thing; I can't even take that nonsense seriously as it lacks realism and actual romance, even more so if the interactions are more on the toxic or abusive side . . . Yeah, no, I don't do that bullshite and the fact that I actually have a choice in shipping or not shipping a CanonXCanon ship that isn't officially canon is so relieving. These may be fictional characters, but I can no way willingly ship an unhealthy cringe pairing. So, Canon X a more compatible OC (or a compatible canon person if there is one, but I tend to find that OCs seem to be better in most cases) in a slow-burn with realistic development/growth, lots of believable interactions and actual solid chemistry is my jam~ :3 I need to feel the feels. I need to see it, to feel like I'm actually physically touching it; I need to feel all of that emotion between two people who have spent so much time together, who've grown, interacted and naturally developed so damn much where what they feel for each other is just so real and raw and wholesome and insanely believable, and it's just . . . There. It's just literally, clearly there, for a lack of better words. xD I don't ship what isn't there and I don't ship what's barely there. I ship what's truly there and I ship what's realistic to the characters. 7 Ways to get over Fictional Characters You don't. * REALLY, WHY BOTHER? * |
