This chapter made me laugh along with Legolas' friends! If I was Eowyn I'd be furious and a little hurt. I know he didn't want to make a big deal of himself but being a prince is a part of him whether he wants it or not, so witholding it from her wasn't the best choice in my opinion. Still think this could be a romance haha.

This was great, because even though I mostly read canon stories (I just can't enjoy awkward forced romances), I could've totally seen this turning into romance. I think you should give it a chance and write a story that turns their friendship into something more. You're a good writer and I'm always open to people exploring human-elven dynamics in Tolkien. I think it would be really interesting to read a realistic love story between a male elf and mortal woman, since Tolkien already provides us with several versions of the opposite, and these 2 are really interesting characters.

OMG I thought he was gonna kiss her when he put his hands on the back of her head! Now that would be quite the twist! I've never read a story with any romance between Eowyn and Legolas as I'm a Canon kind of girl, but I could see how it could work. However this is a friendship story right?
