![]() Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. xx*xx BIO / Disclaimer xx*xx I have a multitude of nicknames but for the most part, people call me Lexi. I'm a twenty-something self-confessed geek, tattoo-addicted English and Music teacher and I live in sunny ol' England! Literature and Music is the name of the game, and I take it in whatever way I can get it. I spend far too much time with my nose in a book or my hands twiddling on an instrument, and that is quite alright with me! For the most part I tend to write for The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, and Harry Potter; the books I fell well and truly in love with. They stole my heart, and also spaces on my skin. I also write original fiction - on the road to publishing, and one day I'd rather like to see my name on a book in a shop. We can but dream, my dear readers, we can but dream. DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the works of fiction that I write for; I simply use the characters of J.K Rowling, J.R.R Tolkien and others for my own amusement, with the occasional Original Character here and there. I'm not making any monetary profit from my writing, but the payment I do receive is that of reviewers enjoying what I've written and telling me so. Thank you. xx*xx*xx*xx*xx*xx Updates and News February 2019 Hi all! Yes, I'm not dead! No, I've not abandoned my stories. Due to the stifling rules on FFN regarding what can be posted and what constitutes as fanwork - particularly those that take place in an alt-format (such as textfics, the use of song lyrics, and epistolary fics) I have now moved almost entirely to Ao3. I am under exactly the same username, and from now on it is likely that most of my writing will be hosted over there. There are already several fics that are on there which haven't been transferred to FFN because, honestly, it is an absolute pain in the arse to use! Ao3 allows me a lot more creative freedom and it is unlikely I will post anything further on FFN unless something particularly staggering compels me to. You are all absolutely wonderful, and I hope to see you over on Ao3! xx*xx*xx*xx*xx*xx Also a reminder: You can find my DeviantArt page here - I have a list of character inspiration 'favourites' and the odd atrocious sketch of my own for your questionable pleasure. xx*xx*xx*xx*xx*xx Let me not to the marriage of true minds William Shakespeare, Sonnet 116. *X* "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us." - Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race, and the human race is filled with passion. Medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for." - Robin Williams, Dead Poets Society "For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love." - Carl Sagan "It's dangerous business going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you'll be swept off to." - Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings "I pray you, in your letters, "Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." - Carl Sagan xx*xx*xx*xx*xx*xx COMPLETED STORIES It's Always Been You - Sirius pulled the man to him in a kiss that was fraught and fierce with emotion. It was dominating, claiming, and it was angry - all teeth, tongue and bruised lips that left them panting and wide-eyed from the intensity of it. He knew in some deep, dark part of him - a part in complete denial - that this would be the last time. A StarBuck one-shot for the Sing Me a Rare song-fic competition on the Fairest of the Rare. Winner of Best Written and Overall 'DJ', and Runner-up in Best Angst and Wish It Could Be Canon. Silence - At first, she'd found ways to fill the world with sound and the chaos that she had always craved, even as a young girl. Now, she was only left with the crushing weight of silence. An Andromeda Tonks monologue-esque one-shot. What Grace Has Given Me - A considerable epic, following a selection of characters through the War of the Ring leading us through those tribulations through the eyes of the Eldar. A light-hearted story with lots of laughs, fights, love, a few tears, and a variety of characters we know and love as well as the OCs of my own design. Give it a try - a little slow to start, but by about Chapter 6 the fun really begins. Not a Word - George/Hermione one-shot, later to be incorporated into a full-blown story. A taster, if you will. STORIES CURRENTLY ON HIATUS What Grace Has Given Me: The Litawen Chronicles - A woman born in Middle Earth, grown in Valinor, and a history belonging thousand of years in the future; Litawen is struggling with her own identity as she comes of age. With her Mother spoken of in hushed tones and her Father considered mad for taking her up as a wife, she fights the prejudice held against those who dare to be different and those who have no choice but to be. With her youngest cousin just born to the great Lord Glorfindel and one of her twin Aunts, Jade, she is a woman on a mission to ensure that the innocent do face the same torments of her youth. Throw in one Lord Elrohir, formerly of Rivendell, and you have a very interesting family indeed. Anything, Everything, Forever - Removed as I will no longer be posting on FFN. This is on indefinite hiatus, regardless. |
