Okay, I know you said it was slow burn but holy moly. Honestly I'm just going to skip right to Chapter 40 and read from there. Usually I love long stories, but literally nothing is happening. we could have gotten to the same point in a third of the amount of time. I never leave a story before I read the ending though, so hopefully we have actually gotten somewhere in another 20ish chapters.

Bit confused on the timeline. This chapter occurs on Monday, October 31, and it sounds like a substantial portion of the day passes during this chapter, however, chapter 21 starts on Oct 31 10 minutes before 9am.

"Full billow mode" delivered so seriously is possibly the best line I've ever read.

I'm really enjoying this story so far. The characters are well fleshed out. My heart aches at the ending of this chapter despite its necessity, so I look forward to continuing.
