I love this Harry! Almost always when Hermione becomes more interesting, Harry always gets bashed. His last line in this chapter made me almost cry.

This was amazing. You somehow managed to take J K Rowling's story and imbue it with Tamora Pierce. You did so in a way that managed to not only feel very real but also kept the integrity of both authors. All I can say aside from that is simply that I want more.

Such a beautiful ending to an epic story. Once again, thank you for your time and effort you put into this story. I know it was a labor of love. A story where there is more grey matter than white and black—in fact, there is nothing entirely white or black, here. I can only admire how well you described how Hermione and Severus felt—their guilt, their war fever and triumph!
How Hermione hated herself, how Severus taught her to love herself. How Severus thought himself incapable of such love but Hermione was indeed the key to it all—to his heart, as well.
A story where sex is not the driving force, where love is pure... Where there’s only love.
How they understood each other—Hermione and Severus were were the same person. In heart, in soul.
I know, that they still read together, work together, argued with witty remarks and theories, teased each other with quotes from Shakespeare and Eliot and fought together with their wand-knives. Amd them they sleep in each other’s arms to wake up to birds singing.
Two souls who indeed did not need children or sex or words to define their bond. Perhaps, they never married because public opinion never mattered to them. Because two wedding bands could never stand against the rings that they created for themselves, telling the other of their partner’s danger.
I don’t know if Hermione ever indulged sexually with Severus after what happened to her—honestly, I wanted to read that part—but now that I think of it, it doesn’t matter. Although, in those depths of love, I believe firmly that Hermione did recover, Severus helped her, and vice versa.
They accepted each other with their flaws and beauty. Ready to leave the world for each other—!but with each other.
