AN: I am so so so sorry for the long delay. I know I said that the next update wouldn't be a longer wait, but it turned into a really long wait. I am so so so sorry. I did get hit with Writer's Block again, but also new stuff has happened. I am back in school, taking online classes, earning my Bachelor's Degree in Illustration in Comics. It has been very hectic since I last updated, and a lot more personal stuff has happened, but everything has changed for the better. I'm slowly getting back into writing again, and will update this when I can. Again, I am so sorry for the long wait, and thank you to all those that have favorited and/or followed the story. Sorry to keep you waiting, and here is the next chapter in Choices. Not long, but at least it is a small update.

"Cutler Beckett."

"It's 'Lord' now," said the man that had arrived and arrested Will.

Just by how he stood, and the smug on his face, Isabel didn't like the man at all. Not only that, but she got a bad feeling from him as well. She took a small step back, and James noticed the fear in her eyes. He wrapped his arm around her, keeping her close to him. James was also confused as to why he was here. And also as to why the East India Trading company was in Port Royal.

"You can't arrest this man," said Governor Swann. "You don't have the authority to, Lord or not."

"Oh but I can," he said, taking out a parchment. "I have a warrant for his arrest."

Elizabeth's father took the parchment, and read it over. His face was confused, and looked back from the parchment, to Elizabeth and then to Beckett.

"But, this is addressed for Elizabeth Swann."

"Oh. I'm sorry. Arrest her as well."

"On what charges?!" said Elizabeth as she was being cuffed by the soldiers.

"No!" cried Will.

"Ah. Here we go. The warrant for the arrest of William Turner," he said, holding out another parchment.

"Lord Beckett," said Elizabeth. "We are under the jurisdiction of the King's Governor of Port Royal, and you will tell us our charges."

"The charge," her father started, "is for conspiring against to free a man convicted of crimes against the crown and condemned to death, for which…"

"For which the punishment is also death, regrettably," finished Beckett. "The man you freed is Jack Sparrow."

"Captain!" said Will and Elizabeth.

"Ah yes. Captain Jack Sparrow," Beckett said, another smile on his face, clearly enjoying the glory he was having with toying with him and presenting them with their warrant. "Thought you might remember him. Take them away. Let time in the dungeon give them some thought to the options they have left."

"Father…" said Elizabeth.

"Don't worry, my dear. I will find a way to fix everything," he said to her.

Isabel and James watched as Will and Elizabeth were taken away, and brought to their cells.

"And who is this lovely young lady, Commodore Norrington?" said Beckett, noticing Isabel after Elizabeth and Will were taken away.

His arm stiffened around her, and Isabel could tell that he too was worried about the whole situation.

"Isabel Norrington," he simply said.

"Norrington?"

"Yes. She is my wife," he said, matter of factly.

"Ah. I see you married then," Beckett said. "Congratulations."

Beckett then stepped forward, and took a hold of her hand. Isabel had stiffened when he did, and she froze when his lips met the back of her hand.

"It is lovely to meet you, Mrs. Norrington," he said. "Although I wish it were under better circumstances."

"A pleasure to meet you too, Lord Beckett," Isabel said softly.

Isabel did not like Lord Beckett at all. Chills went down her spine when he kissed her hand. She gently pulled it away, and he couldn't help but just smile at her. She only inched closer to James, who held onto her tightly when he felt her move. She couldn't help but a get a bad feeling from him. It was just something about him that didn't bode well with Isabel, and she certainly didn't want to be left alone with him either. She would have to tread carefully when going around Port Royal on her own. She didn't want to bump into Beckett while out alone. She would have to make sure to have someone with her at all times when James wasn't near her.

"I believe we should get going," she said. "After all, the two people getting married have been arrested, so there is no point for us to stay here."

"I believe you are right, my love," James said. "If you will excuse us, Lord Beckett. We shall be on our way."

"Of course. Such a shame though that the day had to be spoiled with such news," he said, still grinning.

Isabel turned away as James led them to their carriage and made their way back to home. James only held onto her, feeling her shake throughout the ride home. He didn't say anything, but just kept her close to him. He too got a bad feeling from Lord Beckett, and he certainly didn't like how things were turning out. Elizabeth and Will getting arrested on their wedding day, and he couldn't help but feel what was going to happen next. Especially with Elizabeth, he would do anything to help her out if her father asked, which he most likely will. And for all this, it was all because of the pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow.

"I don't like this at all, James," Isabel stated. "I don't like this very much."

"Neither do I. But, I will get down to the bottom of this. I'll do what I can to help Elizabeth and Mr. Turner," he said to her.

"I want to help too, James," she said.

"I know you do, but I need you to stay here. Keep an eye on things for me," James said to her, rubbing her shoulders. "I don't want you to get involved in all of this. With Beckett. He's up to something, and I want to know what he is up to. I want to keep you safe."

"I know, James. I know. Just please be careful. I don't want to lose you."

"I promise. You won't lose me, and I know I won't lose you either."

"What are you going to do now?" she asked.

"Going to have a talk with Governor Swann. Perhaps have some idea to what I can do for Elizabeth and Mr. Turner. If there is any way to fight this arrest."

"Tread carefully. I have a feeling that this Lord Beckett has something in store for them. Let alone he might be keeping a close eye on them, and anyone close."

"You as well, Isabel. Don't trust anything he says. And be careful who you share things with."

"I will, James. Now go."

James nodded his head, giving his wife a smile. She returned the smile, and leaned up to give him a kiss. He cupped her face with his hands, not wanting to end the kiss. It was a longing one, wanting her to come with him. But, he knew he couldn't. She would be safer here, in case he had to leave. He knew she would follow him if he had asked, but this time, he didn't. He wanted to keep her safe, and being in Port Royal was safer instead of setting sail. Especially since he knew she wouldn't be comfortable if they had to travel to a place filled with pirates, and he didn't want her to relive any memories that she may have already buried away. But, he couldn't help but wonder that maybe he should bring her along instead of leaving her alone. They both have a feeling that something is going to happen, and neither of them were sure if it was good or bad.
