I'm not exactly new to FF.N, so some of you might recognize my writing style a bit. However, I decided that I would get a new account to post some of my more mature or unusual stories on, to differentiate from my old account, so here I am.

My name is Portrait of a Scribe. I am exactly that.

My name mainly comes from two words: Portrait, which is the picture (usually head and shoulders) of a person; and Scribe, which is a person who writes things down (usually by hand) for a living.

I have various talents and hobbies. My most prominent talents lie in the fine arts, such as painting, drawing, writing, and so forth. I am also knowledgable in biology, human anatomy and physiology, and some medical science. I am proficient in mathematics (I made it up through trigonometry before I had to stop), I am good at history, I know a little Japanese, and I suck at physical fitness, but I try to stick it out to the end. In those senses, I suppose that one could call me a "Jack of all trades".

Currently, I am studying French, Italian, and Spanish at university. Expect these languages to pop up in future fics.

Here's a little about my writing and reading preferences, since those are what are relevant to this site:

--I do not read or write homosexual fics.
--I tend to write very mature fics, and many of them do contain mature issues, such as sex, violence, and some substance abuse.
--I will post a warning at the beginning of chapters or in the summaries of stories if any of the above are mentioned in graphic detail.
--I am currently in college, so my updates might be sporadic unless the story in question was previously finished.

I tend to write either really long stories, or one-shots. The occasional two-shot might come up, but they're rare.
