This...This is how you do dark MOTU. This is an absolutely classic story and I love it, one of the best fics I have ever read. The ending is perfect. Randor and Marlena's love for one another is so heartfelt and beautiful. Not to mention I love your backstory for Eternia, it makes SO much sense and just fixes my biggest problem with the series. Was it inspired by the cut scene from the Masters of the Universe movie? Amazing story, I would probably buy it hardcover if I could, LOL.

Forcing Marlena to be in love makes sense. Or else how would she be so close to Ace till the night of her launch and then fall madly in love with the first guy she met? I mean I guess people do that and it's sad...but magic explains a lot of it.

Marlena's relationship with Randor seems even weirder now we know about the old boyfriend. They were inseparable but she chose her career over him. But then she met Randor and within days chose him over her career, life, friends, family, and planet! Yikes.

That was one of the most incredible and exciting fanfiction that I've ever read and I loved the way you described Marlena.
Goshhh you HAVE to write a fanfic about when she crashed in Eternia, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeéeeeeeee.

I actually never thought of Queen Marlena like that but you neatly described her and her point of view. I really like the story you have created around her and this is an end of the whole masters of the universe arc I wished I could have seen it like this on TV.

Well, the point of being a goddess is that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or if anyone is comfortable with female authority. She gets to say and do what she wants now. And if Adam is playing good cop, then Teela will absolutely play bad cop.

BTW, "the queen's gambit" is a chess move.

And the author hits us with the biggest surprise of all, which I supose shouldn't have been a surprise given the content of Ace's letter, lo, many chapters back. I'm a little aghast I didn't catch it in all this time. I don't envy Marlena or Randor for how Adam and Teela are likely to react when they remember their younger siblings.

A fitting capstone for this brilliant piece of storytelling, I must say. All the more brilliant for the fact it could easily be slipped into the canon series with very little effort. Again, well done there!

SOOOOOO much is changed here, and none of arbitrary or illogically done. Still wondering how many Masters have joined their ancestors and how the rest are coping, but that - as they say - is a different story.

As if things could settle down with this lot. Glad to see the author is careful in maintaining the evolution of each of the principals here; it would be a tad of a letdown if they all reverted to what they were when this micro-epic started.

Not sure if I'm comfortable with Goddess Teela, especially her strident tone. Sorry, but I can't help but fear that Eternia has exchanged one guardian spirit for another now.

Marlena's going to be surprised more and more as she examines the names and linages of those around her now, isn't she? Wonder how many direct cousins there are to the Miro line. An idle thought, that, but again a logical one.

That was...um...um...the most creative way I've seen Skeletor dispatched and removed. I also feel like I'm going to need to pull my brain out of my skull and soak it in bleach for the imagery involved. That's a mark of excellence of the author, btw. The scene, from start to finish, was perfectly logical and utterly appropriate to the story and circumstance. Unsavory as all hell, but a worthy moment nonetheless.

Let's see what the next chapter brings.
