Working on the second time through. It's like a good book, where you devour it so quickly the first time in anticipation, that it takes a second read through to pick up on small bits you missed. This time the quotes at the beginning are really sticking in my head through the chapter, and I love what they add.

Usually I tend to skitter away from AUs. I'm a picky reader, and few people do them well. Characters get too ooc, things don't mesh right, something gets lost in transcription.
You however, have checked all my boxes for an AU story. This is a, I tried to put it down to go do something else, but now I need to read more because I was too distracted processing. I like stories that do that to me, reach through the pages and pull me in.
Well done. Seriously, this is great. I love the dynamic between Ed and Winry. This is different and it's fun. Its a plausible updated time frame and you moved the characters over beautifully.
