A dark fantasy fan-girl from The Thumb--I can look at the palm of my right hand and say "Hey...I live right HERE." A gamer who loves RPG's. A reader who loves dark fantasy (George R.R. Martin, Stephen King, that sort of thing.) "The Stand" has to be my favorite book. I love action movies, hate chick flicks and reality television, and am a total sucker for Game of Thrones. As for music, it's all rock, all the time.

In my real life, I'm married with a beautiful daughter, have two bachelors degrees, and work in credit and risk management. As such, I need a vacation from reality from time to time. I like how the Mythbusters say it: "I reject your reality and substitute my own."

"Rend Asunder" is finally complete, but the sequel, "Retribution," is well underway. "Retribution" is currently undergoing some rewriting (in case you're wondering why I'm being so pokey with updates of late). After a long, long, looooooong hiatus, I'm starting to write again (as of 2019). In short, my job was offshored to Latin America, and spending 18 months watching your department completely dismantled pretty much killed the muse. After having a short lived nightmare of a job, I have a much better one that I love. I've been feeling the urge/need to write again and have been working on "Retribution" in my long absence. I'm trying to build a buffer of chapters so that I can release new ones on a more regular basis.

We now move part of the story to Nathaniel Howe and his travel to Denerim.

A Chantry sister, Sister Nedra of Amaranthine, has told Nathaniel that a call has gone out for more templars to travel to Ferelden, as well as recruitment efforts to increase in the wake of the new Circle being formed in Highever, one in which the mages will have limited autonomy. Many of these new templars are from the Free Marches, with most coming from Kirkwall itself. With plans for the new Circle in motion, the Chantry has ordered the rationing of lyrium to prepare for the influx of new templars, as well as keeping tight control on who can purchase it. After hearing this news, Nathaniel Howe has traveled to Denerim to speak to a fellow Grey Warden who could have contacts with the Order to find out more. Upon arrival in Denerim, Nathaniel has learned that the city is on high alert after an assassination attempt on the monarchs.
