So I have read your story in the span of 4 days and let me tell how amazing it is !
Your fic easily became my favorite in the ffx section and I still wonder how I didn't come across it way sooner ! Probably because of the length however I gave it a chance and I was totally blown away by it! It is quite long however it doesn't appear to be because your chapters are never too long nor too short, and I like how you mostly favored dialogue over description. It is, after all, the best way to create believable characters.
Speaking of characters, I love what you did with Rikku, Auron and Jecht. However, it is Braska who ended up being my favorite character in this story! We have so little information about him in the game (over than what is said in Jecht's spheres) and I love what you did about him so much ! You made him such a complicated character but also so loveable.
I don't know how you plan on ending this story but I would be so glad if he came out of the pilgrimage alive (wishful thinking probably but who knows?).
Also, I can't help but loving the relation Rikku and Braska shared and every chapters focused on them are always a huge highlight. Sure, Auron and Rikku are good together, however I can't help but think that Braska and Rikku have this little something that make them look great everytime they are sharing a scene.
Also ! Rikku and Jecht are such bros ! I love seeing them together too!
I know it has been a year since you have updated this fanfiction, but I hope you haven't abandoned it because it would be such a huge loss for this fandom.

This fanfiction has been an excellent foray into character development. Thank you for writing and unconsciously urging me to replay FFX.

I have spent the better part of a week reading this story. It has completely captured me. I found myself sneaking away to the bathroom at work just to read a little bit more. I was at a party this weekend and couldn’t help but hide in the corner to keep reading. This is such a wonderful story, executed extremely well, and it has breathed new life into my FFX obsession from so long ago. I’ve always been a fan of Auron and Rikku as individual characters, and I’ve personally liked the idea of them having an attraction, but I didn’t realize others shared this (I now know that Aurikku has been a thing for years now and I’m just super late to the party). I’m obsessed with this story, it’s better than the game haha! I hope to go back and re-read at a slower, less devouring pace and give feedback on each chapter. Wonderful work, I’m glad I found it now while you’ve begun to pick it back up—and I didn’t have to suffer through the hiatus!

Please please please update soon. This story is like my anti depressant

I have been reading this fiction for years, before the first or second hiatus (I don’t remember lol) . I can’t tell you the excitement I felt when I saw the email in my inbox saying that it was being updated again.

Stories take a lot. A LOT. I was never able to publish a FanFiction on here myself (and haven’t been active on this site for years, I just come back to read a new chapter of yours) and stuck with short stories saved on my computer that no one else has ever seen. You have so much to share in your creativity, more than I could ever hope for.

So, I do understand if your done with this, your not getting any type of compensation for your time, other then anonymous recognition and that doesn’t pay the bills. Though, I hope that isn’t the case, like really hope lol. This story has had longer pauses so I guess it’s up in the air for the momentthis fiction connects me to my younger self and it’s such a surreal feeling to be reading something I started as a teen/young adult.

Along with Tales From The House Of The Moon (an Inuyasha fic), that story and this one are my two favorite works of fanfiction ever, I’ll defiantly be checking my inbox in hopes of more!

Holy shit! I can't believe you're pushing through after so long! I swear please let me know if you ever publish your own story. It's amazing, and even better than I could have hoped for. I cried. For real.

I'm totally going to be honest- I came here for AuRikku but I'm staying for Braska. I don't know what it is, but the way you write their tension is very enjoyable. I'd like to see more of how Auron and Rikkus relationship is building physically- I strangely find myself more connected to Braska and Rikku's energy. I am not sure if it's the build up or their connection but all I have is a massage and angry/possessive! Auron. I need more! I can't live like this!

Just one further note on the subject, not sure if you're basing this relationship on personal experience? It's actually quite hard to re-learn how to have sex after exposure to the type of life experiences Auron has had. I feel like my only criticism is that the intimacy levels just seem incongruent and I think that is only because there's development happening 'off screen'. It doesn't have to be explicit (as you demonstrated with Braska.)

Speaking of details and development - the battles are awesome! It seems exhausting to write. It's great you're doing character development in battle and it makes the scenes less skimmable.

And oh my God development! Jecht! I love him! He is actually my favorite character- the development, the strength, his adorable personality traits and amazing qualities- You're selling me on his heroism.

Rikku is also very fallible, smart, and likable as a character. It is so rare to find all three.

I'm on tenterhooks waiting to find out what will happen next. I'm utterly thrilled that the questions the characters are asking themselves are ones about destiny. Jecht and his ideas seem like foreshadowing, and with the Godhand I think I am reading that Rikku may be able to create a different outcome than the way she originally thought it would be. I want to see how creative it'll end up! I would not mind if it ended the standard sort of way (not changing anything) but where is the fun in going to the past without destroying parts of the future?
I'm sort of writing my own time travel fic and am struggling with the same sort of dilemma.

I just started reading this masterpiece two weeks ago and I have just finished re-reading it a second time! I was so engrossed the first time that I would read it for hours without stopping. I love the progression of Auron's and Rikku's relationship and was surprised at how much I liked the tense Braska/Rikku situations. Jecht also has to be mentioned with his comic relief juxtaposed against his existential quandary to make him such a well rounded character. I'll definitely be re-reading this a few more times. Thank you for weaving such a wonderful tale! I look forward to new chapters~
