Okay, I gotta be honest here. This whole thing with Gohan somehow inheriting Bardock's foresight powers is really irksome to me. Not only did Gohan exhibit ZERO 'symptoms' of it in canon, but him inheriting it at all makes even less sense! Goku had already been born before Bardock even got infected with it, so it somehow being a part of his genes doesn't fit. And him somehow passing it on to his grandson doesn't seem possible given the 'cloudy state' it is within him, that he has zero control of it, and/or that he's never trained with Gohan.

IE: Gohan having foresight just doesn't make sense to me!

So, yeah, that's a major negative to me. If you do come back and rewrite this story, I HEAVILY recommend you remove this part from the new version!

Though I expected it, seeing you follow the trend of Goku marrying Chichi, and clearly deciding to NOT do anything new and creative with the storyline as a result, was rather disappointing for me. Oh well.

Huh, not a bad start. Much better than quite a few 'Bardock comes to Earth' stories I've read. Definitely caught my interest.

You know, I can't help but feel that Bardock's presence here could have some rather interesting repercussions to future relationships if he makes himself known to the group. I mean, we all know just how...whimsical Bulma could be at this point in her life. I could EASILY see her developing a rather potent crush on Bardock. And that, years later, could cause her to become even more interested in Goku when she sees him all grown up, and closer to her age than Bardock. Maybe she'd try to make a move on him and 'fight' Chichi for him? Of course, that could just be the wishful thinking of an unrepentant Goku/Bulma fan. But still!

I swear ive tried out this story before but ended up quitting.

I think it was due to the db era not being as polished as the saiyan saga but just a guess.

This story, to me atleast, REALLY grows the beard in the saiyan saga.

This is the best Bardock story yet, most if the time when read Bardock story, Goku is always indifferent relationship wise with his father. I'm glad to see that Goku' s personality has altered with the presence of his father around and how he reflects about his heritage. Same thing for raditz too, he's thinks differently upon his relationship with his father and the life he had lived because of his absence. The story is really good, can't wait to read more.

A great story, indeed. Well written, well thought and fulfilling. The depth and humanity it gave to Nappa, Bardock, Kami and Raditz was marvelous, and refreshing. For a moment you had me hoping that Bulma would be paired with someone else than that insufferable arrogant prick, but alas you crushed my hopes in a certain author's note. Oh well.

Other than that, all the possible questions that could have arised as the story went on were answered in kind further on, like why Bardock didn't brought Gine back and all that. So good work on that regard.

Was the "Kaio-what?" a reference to Dragon Ball Abridged? Heh, I hope it was.

Anyway, really good work, truly. I wait eagerly for the next update, no matter how long till then.

The last few days were amazing reading this story; It's funny, sweet, beatiful and incredible, I like the plot, the explanations about everything, the difference between this plot and the canon and the way you describe things. I like how you created Bardock, how is his relationship with Goku and with everyone else, also, is very interisting the personality of Raditz and how he's treating Goku in this point of the story. Bardock one of the baddest dudes in the galaxy, who's wiped out entire civilizations and you're having him angst like a goth school girl.. jesus

Sometimes I think you have a good characterization of Saiyans and Bardock other times I'm shaking my head saying nope. Good tip is less angst. Less feels between Father and Son. Less is more in this case.

Also, a good example of what I think of as Sayian behavior would have been when Goku and Bardock received the armor from Bulma both would have disrobed in front of everyone showing Saiyans don't have a strong nudity taboo.
