This year it's being spear-headed by the indomitable Sixty-four K! Find me also on: My Pinterest where you can still see my Chef Sauron picture on my Fan Fiction board. I also have a Lindir board, so check it out! Goodreads, where I rate books and stuff. Don't be afraid to request friendship on the site! :) Important: There is an author on here that has suffered from the Disappearing Syndrome, her name is Erestor. If you desperately want her to come back so she can keep writing amazing stories, please join the movement. Look left when ever you think of her, and copy and paste this to your profile, and add your name to the list. EvenstarWarrior, Lily Lindsey-Aubery I hereby swear to never leave fan fiction and the friends I've made here without trace. If a circumstance occurs in which I must sever myself from this site, be it known that I will put an explanation on my profile. This is because my heart breaks whenever I read an amazing story, and then find out that the writer is gone. I never know if he/she'll ever come back, and must live my days wondering, hoping against hope that he/she'll return. Signed: Lily Lindsey-Aubrey Copy and paste and add your name! We need to stop this cycle of stories that will never be finished and leave poor readers hanging. Note on the paragraphs above: Erestor has updated her profile page. I haven't been on here much, but if anyone is wondering, I am still planning to finish all of my begun works as I am able. Some of my stories need a little explanation. Here it is: The Fanfiction Christmas Countdown. This is a collaborative project by three separate authors on this site: Onesizefitsall, ccgaylord, and myself (Lily Lindsey-Aubery). We'll be taking turns writing twelve fanfiction short stories, one per day, beginning December 14 and ending on Christmas Day. Sound fun? It gets better: each story will be set in a different fandom, so there will be lots of odd-ball, Christmas hilarity to go round. I am the lucky one who gets to start the countdown off. Look below on December 14 to find the first story in the series, The Iron Hills Mall. At the end of the story I'll tell you where to go to read the story for the next day, and so on. Which means that you can't skip stories. Also, if you leave a review (and please do!), it will be answered in the next story in the series, so there's two reasons to make sure you read every one. What if you're not familiar with the fandom? We've done our best to write the stories so that even if you haven't seen the show/movie/book you can still enjoy them. If you really don't want to bother with a fandom you aren't familiar with, all the stories are free-standing so you don't have to read them all...but we hope you will anyway. Easter Eggs: Keep an eye out for a few connecting threads we wove throughout the stories. The countdown follows the Twelve Days of Christmas and each story contains an allusion to a verse from the classic song. Also, in each of the first six stories something gets lost, which is then subsequently found in the last six stories. Feel free to post guesses as to what it is in a comment. (Most of them are pretty obvious.) The Iron Hills Mall, Calling Birds, In Search of the North Pole, and Red Bicycle. Enjoy, and don't forget to read the others! There has been another Christmas Countdown for 2015 and 2016. Check them out, too! ...And if you want us to do this again this year, please let us know! There would be nothing more encouraging! :) I am a Christian. If you have any questions about this, please PM me. I would be happy to talk to you about it! The Fan Fiction Review -Please, please, please join us. Any fandom, any genre welcome! |
