YES! This was wonderful: if feels realistic and satisfying and is one of the few fanfics I’ve seen to really go into the future of the fourth age.
Truly, I’m not trying to fish for complements, but this feels like an untouchable work of art. Like when a new painter stares up a Monet and is simultaneously inspired and intimidated? That’s what reading this felt like for me, both in terms of my fan fictions AND original novel. Ultimately, it was one of the most well-crafted fan fictions I’ve ever read. I hope you write an original novel someday, you certainly have the skill and creativity!

I’m so scared. This is one of the best freaking fan fictions I’ve ever read and I don’t think my “guns in middle earth” idea could ever come close to the sheer glory of this story. The emotions, the choices... the stakes are So High and I’m So Scared. Flip, honey, I’m nauseous reading this. Holy gracious.

Freaking drone. I wish they’d just leave her alone. I’ve never seen a fanfic that suggested us going to war with Middle Earth but it terrified me when you first mentioned it. It’s exactly what we would do and it’s exactly what the Numenoreans tried to do in the Silmarillion, so it’s not unprecedented. I’m scared for what will happen.

1) Poor Haldir. He deserves the very very best. The BEST, I say. I hope he finds love.
2) Nevertheless, I ship Laugolas 100%.
3) Aragorn at the end is great.

I adore Haldir in reality (which is still fiction) but he was Too Jealous here and it was annoying and I’m team Legolas, which is good, since that’s what I came here to read. I hope she and Haldir stay friends though! The end of this chapter was great!

I love how you characterize EVERYONE. It’s so nice. And I’m delighted, DELIGHTED, for some quality time with the twins. They’re two of my favorite characters.
