Author's Note & FAQs:
Are these fanfictions dead?
The short answer: no. However, updates will come more sporadically due to my increasingly busy schedule.
When's the next update?
Similar to my answer to the first question, the answer would be "I'm not sure" due to my increasingly busy schedule. Updates will, unfortunately, be more sporadic in nature. But, rest assured, I am STILL writing ... just not at the weekly pace I used to be able to accomplish.
What happened to the weekly updates during the summer break?
While I did indeed promise weekly updates throughout the summer break, plans - quite obviously - didn't go as once arranged. Long story short, when you're thrown on a mountain in East Asia and have been delegated the responsibility of a children teacher throughout the summer in an environment without internet access ... updates tend to not happen, which in turn, gives people - like probably most of you - the idea that I've disappeared on fanfiction.net entirely. But, good news, I'm back. Bad news, school semester has started. However, at least I'm not still teaching on a Wifi-void mountain even if I did enjoy my time there.
What's the next update?
According to the most recent story poll, it would be Apocryphal Hero. But, considering that I usually have "backup" chapters which allow me to write and publish a chapter at a much faster rate as the idea and general rough draft have already been written out, I may publish those chapters beforehand just to get updates going a bit here on the site. Otherwise, ignoring these "backup" chapters, Apocryphal Hero would be the next updated fanfiction.
I have one more question ...
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me via PM. And please, if you have a question or comment, be detailed and constructive. For far too many times, I get a one-sentence (more of a fragment) question which is too ambiguous to even decipher. Therefore, if you hope to receive a reply, be sure that it's easy to understand and your point can get across to me. For those who have already done that, thank you very much and I sincerely appreciate it.
If there are any sudden announcements, I will post them here instead of in my stories to let readers know of my current writing status. Thank you for your understanding.
Descriptions for the story ideas from the previous poll:
Fate/Stay Night x Fate/Apocrypha Idea 1:
After the end of the Fifth Holy Grail War with Saber delivering a blast from Excalibur to the Grail, both Shirou and Saber get unexpectedly transported to the world of Fate/Apocrypha through an explosive summoning accident! Being countries apart and in a world they are unfamiliar with, Shirou is an unknown “Servant” of the Red Faction while Saber is with the Black Faction as they both try to figure out the enigma surrounding the Great Holy Grail War and its inner workings.
Ruler Jeanne d'Arc gets summoned by the Holy Grail with the task to eliminate the “illegal” extra Servants as both of the Servants’ existence have already broken the rules of the Great Holy Grail War. Jeanne begins this task by investigating the matter behind the oddities of both "illegal" Servants while both the Red and Black Factions continue to monopolize their extra Servant as they continue to clash in a heated battle, with Jeanne gradually beginning to doubt the Grail's true intent behind the decreed command.
As Shirou and Saber battled through the bloody fields of war, both have to answer the critical question that revolves around the fate of the war. Is this Holy Grail truly not corrupted? Or has their version of the Grail, Angra Mainyu, wormed its way into this world also, ready to wreak havoc onto this land?
(Other Fate/Stay Night characters you may see: Tohsaka Rin, Matou Sakura, Illyasviel von Einzbern, Gligamesh) (Pairings: Jeanne d'Arc x Sieg; Shirou x Arturia)
Fate/Stay Night x Fate/Apocrypha Idea 2:
Shirou gets unexpectedly transported through time and space during the Fifth Holy Grail War to the world of Fate/Apocrypha! Confused by what is going on, Shirou is quickly dragged into the war between the Black and Red Factions for the Holy Grail in the Great Holy Grail War when he wandered aimlessly in the outskirts of the city of Trifas in hopes of figuring out where he's at.
Getting involved in a battle between factions and Servants all alone in pursuit of reducing as much innocent lives as possible, Shirou begins this by first befriending the homunculi cleaning in front of the formidable castle of Yggdmillenia. Chaos ensues when both the Black and the Red Factions soon catch wind of what is happening as the homunculi gradually begin to gain self-awareness and start fighting for their freedom.
(Other Fate/Stay Night characters you may see: Tohsaka Rin, Arturia Pendragon) (Pairings: Undecided – readers' choice via poll)
Fate/Stay Night x Fate/Apocrypha Idea 3:
Shirou of Fate/Apocrypha decides to one day study abroad in the country of Romania due to both of his parents’ strong insistence. Hoping for a change of scenery by traveling in the more rural areas of the country to help anybody in need during the weekends, Shirou gets unexpectedly dragged into the Great Holy Grail War between Yggdmillenia and the Mage's Association when the Holy Grail, through Ruler Jeanne d'Arc, announces that whichever Servant and Master pair brings Shirou alive to “her” will receive an additional three command seals.
With Servants battling over each other for the possession of Shirou, Shirou has to figure out a way to survive and cease the unnecessary conflict while he tries to solve the enigma on why does the Holy Grail want him. The answer, surprisingly, traces him back ten years to the past to when magic was first truly birthed in him. Will the Holy Grail's eternal "unconditional" love for Shirou bring about the destruction of the world or the salvation of mankind as Shirou is faced with the difficult dilemma of saving the realistically majority or idealistically all?
(Other Fate/Stay Night characters you may see: Undecided, though technically “none” as this is purely focused on the world of Apocrypha, but you may see, for example, an Apocrypha version of Rin …) (Pairings: Undecided – readers' choice via poll)
Fate/Stay Night (back in time to Britain) Idea 1:
Shirou somehow gets transported back in time to the country of Britainnia during King Uther's reign while having no memories or recollections of his past. After two years of staying in a country where he can't communicate in its language as he tried his best to understand their way of life and culture, Shirou accidentally gets entangled in a battle between magi when he tries to stop a battling pair of individuals only for both of them to gain up on him in the end.
Tripping over an overgrown root in the midst of the foliage during his escape, Shirou was about to be killed before the magic circle under him which was completely covered by moss and grass began to glow brightly, revealing a summoned Servant in a flawless white dress with a gleaming sword blocking the soon to be killing blow directed at him in the last second.
Determined to reduce as much innocent casualties as possible, Shirou joins in on the Grail War with his new female partner by the “name” Saber Lily as they try to figure out why is there a Holy Grail War at this time and how to save Saber's younger self who is with Sir Ector from any looming harm.
(Other Fate/Stay Night characters you may see: Arturia (original), Merlin, maybe Tohsaka Rin and Illyasviel von Einzbern on rare occasions) (Pairing: Shirou x Saber (Lily))
Fate/Stay Night (back in time to Britain) Idea 2:
After ten years since the Fifth Holy Grail War, Shirou arrives back home in Japan for a short vacation to spend some quality time with his friends in whom he considers as family. But who knew he would be greeted with a sight of Tohsaka Rin and his half sister, Illyasviel von Einzbern, reproducing the Jeweled Sword of Zelretch only for it to tragically fail, allowing Shirou to take the full brunt of the explosion.
Waking up, Shirou is greeted with an odd sight of two contrasting twin, one who is innocent and beaming a smile down at him while the other glanced at him in annoyance with an impassive expression, both of the girls were wearing a bright white and a pitch black dress respectively.
Shirou later discovers he has traveled back in time to Britain during the reign of King Arthur with two Servants alongside him which he had apparently summoned long ago. Embarking in a dangerous journey where powerful wizards and legendary dragons exist for the sake of continuing to pursue his dream of becoming a Hero of Justice, what kind of challenges will Shirou face when the berserk Sword of Zelretch continues to give the idealistic boy a hard time as different outcomes from different parallel worlds begin to merge into one?
(Other Fate/Stay Night characters you may see: Tohsaka Rin, Illyasviel von Einzbern, Matou Sakura, Arturia (original), Mordred (Apocrypha)) (Pairings: Undecided, readers' choice via poll)
