UPDATE: 6 June 2019

It seems pigs can fly and maybe you should go buy a lottery today because 8 years since my last update here (eight freaking years?!) and I'm back.

Apparently it's almost impossible to remove fanfiction from my blood. I've been trying, with only some recent success, to go back to my original writing but the years of neglect and active avoidance has had my writing quite rusty. So I thought I'd get back into fanfiction as a way to practice, and for when my original writing drives me batty. So what better work to get the benefit of ah...years of experience and hopefully, maturity (LOL) than When Death Comes a'Knocking (fondly shortened to WDCAK)?

I was a wee lass 8 years ago, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and firmly in the grip of the Gary Stu syndrome. I probably still am but I think I can now execute it with more er...class?

I've got about 18,000 words already of the rewrite and will post as I go along. That will likely mean backtracking when I discover plotholes or hope you guys ignore it, hah! For my original readers and if you're willing to come back..may Tatsumi bless you. THANK YOU. Thank you for being willing to come back and giving me a chance.

I don't know whether you'll like the rewrite, although I will keep certain elements of the original, but thank you thank you thank you. I will post the first few chapters in the old WDCAK, in a new Story post here on and simultaneously, at AO3. Also, un-beta'd. Hah. I like to live metaphorically dangerously.
