Loved this. I always enjoy fics about how hell affected Sam, and yours was unique and very well written.

Well, I must say, that's a very fitting title! This little piece flowed well and I could easily picture both brothers in the way you have them written. Though the atmosphere is a little sad, bittersweet, and one wonders if perhaps either of them might desire a little more in their still young lives, I do like the brotherly moments shared, as they continue to look out for each other. Not bad, not bad at all!

I feel like I just jumped into the middle of a story. I know the focus was supposed to be about how the boys' lives were meshing so well, with none of the fights they used to have, but it would have been nice to get a little backstory on how Dean got hurt, how Sam made it out of the Cage, and just how Sam was 'messed up'. Ignoring what put the Winchesters in this town, the story had a nice feeling of developing warmth, both between the boys and between them and the townspeople. It made a nice ending for the Winchesters, after all of the sacrifices they made for the world, that they would end up in a town that took them in so well. I liked the little moments you gave us between Sam and Dean, such as Dean stroking Sam's hair while Sam leaned against him. They brought a real warmth to your story.

Very well written, and Dean's view was recognisably in-character throughout, his story to tell and well told. The concept was good, a very valid and plausible reason for the events following, the writing style is smooth and extremely easy to read. Great job!

That was so adorable and just awesome. Although, it was sorta wierd to read 'cause I've had probably one too many mess ups of my knee and right now I'm wearing a brace that keeps it straight. But I get it off in a few weeks. And I agree with Dean; it sucks. But easy to get used to. And poor Sammy! But it's so good that their living in a town that respects them :)

This was a great story! I liked all the smaller details you threw in that you end up explaining with more detail in your other stories in this 'verse.

I came across this story in a rec; Whumped!Sam, Awesome!BigBrother Dean! I almost didn't read this the first time. The second time I actually read it.

I usually don't read stories where Dean is the one who is hurt, but for some reason I really liked this.

It was very well written and seemed very realistic.
