Yes, a Harry Potter that seems to be dumber than a rock is supposed to go up against the Eldritch horrors you've said will be in this story? So this ends with them all dying next chapter, right? The chapters after that are what happens when the Earth has been taken over by the beings?

Re-reading this for the first time in a long time. It holds up well. I love the rapport between him and Padma. The only disappointment is that we didn't get to witness their little ritual together. :)

that 'cavorting' line should have gotten that guy a kick in the nuts. someone should have pointed out that he was being drafted rather than all of the rambling back story.

Sarcastic Harry is a lot of fun to read, but I think if I had to deal with him in real life there would be a lot of punching.

Interesting crossover, I've not read much Lovecraft but I still enjoyed it. The characterisation of Harry was certainly unique. I enjoyed that it was concise, an epilogue might have been nice but the ending was nevertheless good. The action could have been slightly clearer in the final chapter but it still had the sense of a large battle about it.
