The stories I post here these days are WIPs and experiments. I'm posting my new and completed things over at AO3. It is easier to respond to comments and interact with people there. I haven't forgotten these old stories, but I'm not the same person I was when I started writing most of them.

I don't delete old stuff. I think it's rather silly to do so, but do take a look at the dates attached to the story. There is over a decade of stuff here, and my writing style has changed!

A Rival Story: This mess has spilled out of my pen, and this is as far as I think it will go. It's the first thing wrote after a long stint of writer's block [read: depression and a 60 hour work week] clamped down on my creativity. I went back and edited it. Most of the changes are in the early chapters. I haven't felt motivated to write more. There isn’t a lot of HnG fan-fiction, and almost none of the alternate ending type stories, which surprises me. Fan-fiction happens when readers/watchers with creative ability are upset or do not agree with decisions made by the original author enough to be moved to write it a new way. Most of what I’m finding is post-series, not unexpected because it is open-ended, but where are the stories that start on May 5th? The ones that start at the end of the Sai-Meijin game? Where are the people who were so outraged at the torture Hikaru went through? I saw your comments all over the sites that host English-subtitled episodes and message boards, so I know you are out there! I wish I could finish this, but A Rival Story took off before my ideas for an ending did.

Dark Phoenix: Wow, I love my reviewers. The completed outline stretches from July 1996 to November 1997 (Harry's sixth year and the beginning of seventh) but the whole story will take up the seventh year and into the summer after. It will be 9/10 Harry's POV, include slash, and end after Voldemort is dead. The pairings are (in order of importance to the Plot): Harry Potter/cannon male character (A few, actually, but he ends up with one guy in the end.); Draco Malfoy/Ginny Weasley; Ron Weasley/Hermione Granger; Remus Lupin/Sirius Black (who stays dead, sorry). I doubt I will come back to this. There is too much about my writing style that has changed, but anyone who is inspired by what I have written is free to take up a pen and give it a shot! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE, but I stopped writing when my personal life blew up and I've never gotten back into this headspace. I was in high school when I wrote the original outline. If I ever come back to this I'd start a new story with some of the better-developed themes and really take this children's book into mature themes territory. (Child abuse, politics, and psychological manipulation sort of mature, you know I don't write the pr0n.)
