Heh. I don't know what you were talking about in your Authors Note when you said the reader would be angry. I really loved the ending and I think it was perfectly realistic. All the characters were acting as they should and this was very well written. Great job!
I understand if you don't want any negative comments or harassment but please don't think all readers will dislike what you've written. It makes me sad to know you don't think people like your work but I'm also happy and proud that you can post this fiction with pride.

wow, this was amazing.

I love how John handled it and while Sally being slapped was harsh she had it coming in this Story.
And I'm glad Lestrade understood but got down some rules just as well.
