Ok, I know this story is already complete, or abandoned, or whatever, but I wanted to give my own theory on the time travel business from the top of this page. Quite simply- the time travel methods shown are different. The time turner, having much less power, can only send a person back to a point that already exists. But it was shown that the ritual uses tons and tons of power. So, maybe that’s necessary because this time-travel ritual actually does send a person back to a point that doesn’t exist. Whereas the time turner is a car, travelling people across already existing roads, the ritual is a portal gun, letting people travel to wherever they want.
