A few things. First, it should be "I was wondering if you knew my parents well", not "my parent's well". (Also, in the same sentence, I believe the usual expression is "lost his nerve", not his nerves.)

Second, I think you're altering too many details here. The art of an AU is to change as little as possible to achieve one's effect; here, you reveal three apparently independent changes (Harry in Slytherin, Slughorn remaining at the school through the '80s, and, implicitly, no DDA curse) in the course of only the first four paragraphs. It's sloppy. (Of course, if you've revealed or are going to reveal in subsequent chapters how all three of these changes are consequences of a single past event, feel free to ignore this criticism. But the explanation had better be a good one, say I.)

And, finally, may I just express a general sense of disappointment that you, like so many other people who write this sort of story, seem to be regarding politics purely in terms of gaining power and crushing rivals? To hear some of you folks talk, one would never know that personal responsibility or the service of one's neighbors had any relation whatever to civil authority. It's not a trend that exactly fills me with confidence for the future of our world.

it was genius, but then what harry will do, he was harmed severly and it should be reported. or just that the excuse snape is important for something then the incident will be delete, what will slughorn do? what will harry do again? what will happen? i m impatient to wait

Snape was being a complete and total SOB. I wish you would update. I need an explanation. Why is Slughorn teaching potions? How did Snape break the "curse" on th D.A.D.A. Position? Why is Harry in Slytherin? I need answers!

Just found The Potter Politics. The story has an interesting premise. It's been covered once or twice but you seem to be heading in an unusual direction. It's to soon to say whether I like it or not, it hasn't progressed far enough. I like your writing; you paint good word pictures and your storyline is sophisticated instead of simplistic. You write people well, fleshing them out and giving them multiple dimensions. While I'd like to see the POV of the surrounding characters added to the story, I'm not going to suggest how to write it. The story is your work of art and you're doing just fine. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
