Absolutely loved this! The fear, the panic, the pain... so exquisitely written. I'm going to have to check out that Drive Universe of yours now...

Very nicely written but don't forget about the Drive verse story you're writing right now... you left us on a cliff.

Powerfully written - so immediate with the pain and the horror of his condition, tieing in his claustrophobia. Just brilliant. And yes I thought of the drive verse all through and was glad to have perhaps a little canon in here to give Dean some comfort. Beautifully done. Like others, would like you to write some more here.

I was most definitely referencing Drive as I read this... I love the part where John kisses his forehead... so sweet. And you depict Dean's claustrophobia so well I had to get up and walk around after I finished it! ;-)

Okay, it be official: you is the Queen of Whump!Dean, Ruler of the Land of H/C. Seriously, I really love how your brain works, hon. You describe the pain so viscerally, with Dean trying to act all stoic. And I could so see John's concern etched in every word and gesture. Lovely stuff here!

And in just that one line from John about Sam's freaking out for 3 days...now you have me all curious! If your Muse were bored (these wenches are so fickle!), perhaps she might consider a follow up from Sam's POV, from the immediate aftermath to the relief of finally seeing Dean awake? It'd be cool to see teen!Sam all worried about his big bro...(of course, I know you have so many plot bunnies, the Muse, she might have moved on. But, hey, doesn't hurt to ask!)

Hey, I didn't know about this one! Really vivid descriptions. Poor, poor Dean. And to imagine the same scene without John... Yeah, grim is the word. Poor Drive!Dean!

Thought a great deal of the Drive series as I read this but I was very glad John was there in this story to give Dean the comfort and security he desperately needed.

As always another good story with its good share of Dean whumping and the right amount of comfort at the end.

Loved this. Poor Dean being hooked up to all that machine and what not. It would drive me insane. It's nice that John is here in this to support him, although yeah.. it is sad if you imagine John NOT being there for him.

Crap - how horrible would that have been? Not only would Dean NOT have had the comfort - so hell yeah - panic attack ahoy! - he would also have been left to stew about how useless he was that John left him behind...

This was, of course, awesome! I thank God daily for your finding that meme on LJ... and whoever created it! On the other hand, it's not helping me get my shit together...
