Well now i am vexed.

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The cashier said, "I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll."

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''

The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look a round. She left quickly.

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

"It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her."

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. "No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there."

His eyes were so sad while saying this. "My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.''

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: "I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall."

Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me "I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me. I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister."

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. "Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?''

"OK," he said, "I hope I do have enough." I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: "Thank you God for giving me enough money!"

Then he looked at me and added, "I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me!'' "I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.'' "My mommy loves white roses."

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

Now you have 2 choices:

Okay so this is the first time i will ever publish a challenge so be kind with me, i based them off ideas of mine i wish to write but haven't found the time to do so and i find myself curious as to what someone else could come up with them.

Before we begin i have to establish four non-negotiable rules, i repeat non-negotiable.

1.- NO SLASH, unless an established character is already gay, otherwise you may focuse your attention elsewhere.

2.- NO GENDER BENDING, unless you plan to have Ranma appear in the story there will be none of that.

3.- NO EXCESSIVE AND IRRATIONAL CHARACTER BASHING, i may hate some characters but let's keep it light here, we don't want to lose the readers.

4.- NO UNDERAGE PAIRING, I seriously don't see why people want to pair a a girl bellow 18 with someone who is sometimes immortal or what have you and it isn't cannon with the series they base it on. I get Sailor Moon, i get Twilight, but when that happens in a series it shouldn't you are only asking for trouble, they already came down on us with the lemons do not add more fuel the fire.

Anything else i am willing to negotiate...now onto the challenges.

Challenges:

1. - BTVS/DEUS EX: Human Revolution, i noticed there were no crossovers with this game and i thought let's give it a whirl.

Main character: Xander Harris.

Story type: YAHF

Additional Crossover (optional): SG-1, Marvel, DC, Generator Rex, Ben 10, Metal Gear, Bionic Woman.

Acceptable Pairings: Cordelia, Amy, OC, or Character from additional Cross.

Non-acceptable Pairings: None of the Slayers (Buffy, Faith [friendship acceptable, Kendra [lives or dies is up to the challenger]), Willow, Tara, Dawn, Anya, Joyce or Jenny.

Story plot: Xander dresses up as Adam Jensen for Halloween, due to the nature of the costume he can no longer return to normal. The story should depict his struggles with his new form and how his friends strive to help him adapt. Cannon episodes are allowed, but original content will be much appreciated. If additional cross elements are used Xander’s condition will draw the attention of the characters in aforementioned universe being utilized, how much of their involvement is allowed is left to the challenger.

Length: 5k to 8k is acceptable, must be story not one-shot or miniseries.

2. - FFVII/DCAU, again there are no DC universe crosses with the game.

Main character: Vincent Valentine.

Story type: Crossover

Acceptable Pairings: Left to the challengers disposition, must be adult.

Non-acceptable Pairings: No one who is eighteen or under, non negotiable.

Story plot: Vincent, having outlived all his friends wanders his world in solitude, by means left to the challenger he is transported to the DC universe where he meets heroes and villains alike and having nothing to return to begins a new life in this new world. While the animated universe is acceptable as a base some comic lore would be much appreciated, making him a member of a team is left to the challenger.

Conditions:

Materia brought with him should be varied and help aid him in any given situation, however nothing that overpowers him as he already has 4 powerful transformations at his disposal (No Neo or Zero Bahamut as well as Knights of the Round, you don't want to have flamers after you, it gets really fucking annoying.)

Also he must be willing to stand up the heroes when he disagrees with their methods in dealing with villains to dangerous to be imprisoned, he should kill a major villain to emphazize this point.

Length: 5k to 8k is acceptable, must be story not one-shot or miniseries.

3. - FFVII/Marvel

Main character: Vincent Valentine.

Story type: Crossover

Acceptable Pairings: Left to the challengers disposition, must be adult.

Non-acceptable Pairings: No one who is eighteen or under, this is non-negotiable.

Story plot: When the Scarlett Witch activated her spell it opens a rift in the FFVII universe that drags Vincent in, who wanders the world as he sees the last of friends pass on while he remains, he arrives in the forests of Westchester weakened and dazed and lands in the clutches of the Leper Queen who is about to burn the mutants at the stake. However he breaks loose and kills them before collapsing in exhaustion and lands in the care of the X-men.

Conditions:

The three Materia he must have with him are Esuna, Revive and Full Cure, these must be able to revive the dead as well as undo the spell cast by Wanda. 3 summon material may be allowed but nothing to high powered (i.e. Neo and Zero Bahamut.), offensive spells must be mastered as well.

The X-men’s allies and enemies must find out about him being able to undo the spell, with the later starting to hunt him down to prevent him from undoing M-Day.

Vincent must see meet the other heroes villains of the Marvel verse.

It must be before CW, and during the event and after he will not register yet also not be a part of the resistance yet be willing to help them should they be in any danger.

Chaos must fight Hulk once in WWH, the challengers chooses when this occurs.

Also must be willing to stand up the heroes when he disagrees with their methods in dealing with villains too dangerous to be imprisoned.

Length: 5k to 8k is acceptable, must be story not one-shot or miniseries.

4. - X-men/X-men: Evo

Main character: New X-men (Surge, Hellion, Mercury, Dust, Anole, Elixir, Rockslide, Pixie, Prodigy and X-23.) and Evo cast.

Story type: Crossover

Acceptable Pairings: Cannon pairings are acceptable, however mix matched between the 616 crew and the Evo crew is encouraged (Example Hellion and Evo version of Emma Frost, yes I know it’s crazy but hey, the whole challenge is that way.).

Story plot: During the clash between Hope and Bastion a tear in space in time is opened and the New X-men are caught in its wake, they arrive in Evo verse New York, where they discover they do not exist in this reality and must now find a way to survive in a world so much like their own yet with stark differences. Their presence is felt by both Magneto and Xavier and both race to reach them before the other.

Additional conditions:

Hellion must not lose his hands to Nimrod’s attack.

Prodigy regains his powers due to the dimensional shift.

616 Laura takes over her Evolution version by her arrival (Evo version was too emotional in my view and didn't show the same character growth 616 Laura did.)

Must be after Asteroid M has been destroyed yet before the arrival of the New Mutants.

If the challenger chooses to include Spider-man, let it me Ultimate or Spectacular versions due to their ages, whether he stays i leave to the challenger, however no Rogue, Kitty or Laura pairings go for something no one has seen before.

Expand upon the cannon and include other elements of X-men lore.

They must alter events in Evolution universe.

Length: 5k to 8k is acceptable, must be story not one-shot or miniseries.

Well there they are, i am willing to negotiate except the four established rules seen above.
