Eh, it would've been easy for Doom Slayer to counter Maia's arguments. For starters, the Black Dogs didn't come to save Ostia in their darkest hour, they were mercenaries who were hired to fight. Nothing more. They were never anything more than that. Whereas Doom Slayer chose to save them when he saw their plight instead of being hired to do it. And then there's Maia's claim that if he killed her for following him he'd just be proving her right and that he is indeed just going to replace Vault with himself. That is insane troll logic. There is zero logical connection between killing a stalker and becoming the next Vault. Anyone who believed it would get the shotgun blast to the face they deserve. At that point, it wouldn't be fear or panic or anger driving them, they'd believe him to be a threat to them simply because they CHOSE to believe it. Because when there is no logic for believing something, then the only answer is choice. Like why liberals believe Trump is evil or something and yet can't give even one example of anything racist or sexist or whatever else he's done or said.
