Since the Master Control was brought up in this chapter, I have to ask: Is Ben gonna unlock it eventually and if he does, will it stay a permanent part of his arsenal? The show liked to take that away as soon as it was given, I'm guessing because if Ben could turn into whatever alien he wanted for as long as he wanted whenever he wanted, writing for battles would be more of a struggle.

Huh, looking back, Akaridions are kind of similar to Gems, being energy beings who's bodies are hard light surrounding a solid object that holds the entire form together (cores for Akaridions and Gems for... well, Gems)

Really glad to see Coulson here too. I wasn't able to watch much of Agents of Shield though I still saw some, and I loved his character there and in the Avengers.

That last bit with XLR8 was pretty funny with how he took Kevin to the canal faster than he could blink. Speedsters taking people places or doing something faster than people can react is pretty funny to me, kinda like the bar scene in the Sonic movie or Quicksilver's scene in Apocalypse... huh, that's twice in these reviews that I've mentioned Quicksilver.

Completely superfluous question, but considering how much SixSix talks about how much money he's hoping to make, how much is the Omnitrix and/or Galen's Core worth as far as interstellar currency is concerned? Just a funny meaningless question I thought up.

Vilgax being able to go toe-to-toe with Thanos practically makes him an Avengers-level threat (said as Mysterio) which means the eventual confrontation is going to be pretty epic.

Enjoyed Toby and Claire comparing magic with Gwen and theorizing how her magic works due to her Anodite lineage. Speaking of which, according to Max, Verdona left Earth because she sensed a great threat on the horizon and went to combat it. How well is she holding that threat off?

So, if XLR8's speed is potentially infinite if he keeps running, then that means... wow, Quicksilver keeps looking slower the more you compare him to other speedsters. The Flash, XLR8, even himself (Fox version) all are faster. It's kinda sad. If Quicksilver exists here, is he going to be faster and not die from bullets? If this is a spoiler, then don't answer the question.

Reboot!Transformers being a part of this verse is something I'm looking forward to seeing.

Now, since Bumblebee still has his VW Beetle design and is still living with Charlie, did Bee ever meet up with Optimus at the end? Are the other Cybertronians on Earth? (Yeah, I know people like to call them Transformers, but I'm a big Transformers Prime and Animated fan, so that's what I call them. Can't help it)

Naturally, like my previous review, this does lead into the question of whether or not Ben can turn into a Cybertronian since unlike organic life, Cybertronians have CNA, not DNA. The same question would apply to Gems as well since they have 'Gemetics' (Peridot's words not mine) rather than genetics, though I think he can considering Upgrade is a part of his transformations and Galvanic Mechamorphs are living technology.

Next up is a joke question. Since Max previously had the Omnitrix and had the Necrofrigian form, did he go through the same thing Ben did in that one episode where he reproduced a bunch of offspring and Ben has several alien aunts and uncles somewhere out in space?

So, Ben gains the memories of the original genetic base that was scanned into the Omnitrix. Pretty cool and it does explain how he's able to properly use his transformations from the get go as opposed to the show, where he had to learn either instinctively or through trial and error.

However, this takes place in a series that includes aliens like Kryptonians and Akaridions, so would Ben be gaining those forms as transformations as well later down the road? Also, while it would most likely be too coincidental if it was the case, would the Kryptonian DNA come from a member of the House of El? Again, coincidental, but worth pondering over.

Now, I did start watching the Tales of Arcadia shows recently (3Below more than Trollhunters because I admittedly have a thing for the "Fish out of Water" trope when it comes to humor and I'm more Sci-fi than fantasy), and this being set in Arcadia could lead to some interesting interactions. Imagine the comedic potential of Rath (one of my favorite of Ben's transformations) interacting with Varvatos Vex (whose name I for some reason can't think about without my mind immediately jumping to Barbatos, as in the Gundam from Iron Blooded Orphans).

Also, after watching the shows and reading this story, I kinda couldn't help but feel that Steve Palchuck could theoretically become a pretty good Agent Venom. He kinda looks like the comics version of Flash Thompson and he's also got the redeemed bully angle going for him as well. That's just me though. Again, haven't read any of the other stories in this verse except for "Close Encounters of the Gem Kind", so I don't know if anything's happened that completely contradicts that idea, but it still sounds pretty cool to me.

Are Heatblast and Diamondhead their actual names, or just the English translation of their actual names? I remember a scene (or page if you will) in "Close Encounters" where the Agate spoke the Gem language and Pidge's helmet translated, so I'm inclined to believe that those names are just the Earth translation of their actual names. Also like how this hand-waves Ben's whole "yell out the name" shtick he got in Alien Force.

Also, read this fic on AO3 as well, and it's kinda off there. For some reason, there's occasionally a punctuation mark that's a space away from where it actually should be. I'm not seeing the issue here, so I think this is just an AO3 problem. Might be worth looking into though.

So, out of curiosity, what exact time frame do your stories take place in for this MCUverse? I've only read "Close Encounters of the Gem Kind" and this one, so I don't know the time frame for the rest. This one clearly takes place shortly after the Battle of New York in the first Avengers film, which, according to the timeline, took place on May 4th of 2012. Close Encounters takes place shortly after Thor: Dark World (which occurred in mid-November of 2013 according to the timeline) based on Tivan talking about his immediate previous guests before meeting Pidge and Lance (which would be Volstagg and Sif if this is the case) and well before the events of Guardians of the Galaxy since Gamora still works under Thanos, the Power stone still hasn't been collected, and the events of the film overall are stated to take place in August of 2014.

Apologies if this comes off as bothersome, just curious on what the timeline for this fic series is, even though I've only read two stories in it.
