Why do I write? I write because I get ideas that decide to hijack my brain until I'm listening to music on repeat while a story pours forth. Sometimes it comes in one long torrent, sometimes in drips and drabs, and sometimes...sometimes I have to get the siphon out to get the rest. I draw on the world around me for reference, and there will be touches of people and places that I know in every story I write, even if it's just an underlying theme or a throw-away comment about cats. I still believe that life's best medicine is laughter, and I tend to write a lot of humour in my stories to vent the frustrations I get in life. I rarely write a sad ending, but it's been known to happen from time to time.

I'm an openly bisexual/pansexual, genderfluid person. If that bothers you, there's the back button. Yes, I write romances with all types of pairings. I write them because I genuinely love watching people fall in love. There's enough sorrow in the world regarding who we love that it's nice sometimes to just enjoy that they get to be in love.

I believe in research. If you're going to write about a town you've never been to? Research it. See if they have a website. Try to find out what stores are there, what the street names are, how long it actually will take to get from point A to point B. If you're writing about another country that speaks your language, look up some of the slang. It really is the smallest things that will throw someone out of a story.

I love hearing from people. There is no end to the squeeing when I get reviews (or even kudos!). It's like that feeling when you get a letter in the mail that isn't spam. Or bills.

As a side note, though I've never been asked (and most likely will not be asked), I wholeheartedly give blanket permission to podfic or translate my works. I ask please, that I be credited with writing said work and a link back--mostly so I can be extremely excited about it and tell everyone who reads my stuff to go check it out.

I didn't realize I needed to specify this, but please ASK ME FIRST if you want to host my works elsewhere. I will usually say yes, but still, ask.

Hello, profile. It's been a while! No story update today, sadly. I had some of my stories pulled from here onto another site without permission. As stated above, please ask first. I'm pretty easy-going about it if you do :)

Yes, I have changed my username on here. I write on other sites with a different pen-name, and it's just simpler and easier to keep it all under one name.
