And, this doesn't usually happen, but I actually *enjoyed* your author comments. Typically I skim right over that drabble, but you're so funny! I can picture a little chibi-manga-author talking to me through them, and it lends a lot of heart to the tone of your story. You might not think so, but I think you stretched their characters out enough even to keep some of the smut in character They're both complicated individuals, and this story managed to keep them within that. I have to say, I believe that your story is a more believable DouWata fic in the xHoLic universe that I have read for a good long while. The awkward first morning, the confusion of the aftermath, and the adjustments to their relationship was very nicely done. Although I'm disappointed that this fic wasn't longer- I think it was just perfect. |
