I figured it was about time I did something of a profile, since I've got so many wonderful readers and reviewers out there.

Manipulating Fate

!!MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR RE-WRITE IN PROGRESS!!

Time Travel Fic. A 30 year old Harry succeeded in fulfilling the prophecy, but there's nothing left to live for. Harry executes a risky scheme, that sends him back to his 11-year-old body, and will have him fighting against fate itself. He's BACK, and he's out to show the wizarding world that he means BUSINESS! Grey Harry, Independent/Powerful Harry, Slight Dumbledore Bashing, Secret Identity, Secret Society--No Slash

Notes:

--This story is somewhat similar to S'Tarkan's Nightmares of Future Past, and there is a disclaimer in the first chapter. It's a fabulous story, and if you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. The similarities are mostly in the first couple of chapters, and it's already taking on a life of it's own, at least I think so, but I'll let you be the judge. (NEW NOTE-9/25/08 Once rewrite is complete, the only thing that should resemble S'TarKan's story is Harry's age. 31 is just a good age)

--My favorite type of stories are where Harry travels back to a younger version of himself, travels to another world where his parents,godfather, ect...are alive, or where he wins the war, disappears and returns years later with his own kids. I like others, but those are my favorites. I've read S'Tarken's NoFP, and other time travel fics, but I could never find one that came close to what I thought should happen, so one day I just started writing, and Manipulating Fate slowly came into existence.

--Despite what it may appear, this is not a Harry/Ginny fic. I'm really sorry if you like that pairing, but PLEASE don't let that deter you from reading it, if you're a time travel fan. I'm not against the pairing, it's just not for this fic. I know that it may look like a H/G fic at first. Harry was married to Ginny in his original timeline, but they won't be getting together this time around, and I promise, it's not for some stupid reason, like he's trying to protect her, or something like that. I will give you a valid reason as to why they won't be together. There will be a very long explanation as to why not.

--As far as actual pairings go, I wasn't initially going to pair Harry with anyone, but see the updated note below. This has changed. One of the main pairing in this fic, at least at the present time, is Remus/OFC (a woman by the name of Karin). Once again, I'm really sorry you like the canon Remus/Tonks. I'm not against this pairing either, but it doesn't work for this fic, plus I've had a lot of fun developing her character. She's a Kick-Ass Lawyer, HOT!, kind, loving, funny, a pureblood, oh, and did I mention...a Parkinson! She'll bring a lot more drama to the table as the story develops. Other then established pairings (Arthur/Molly for example), there will only be one other pairing that you won't see till the end, and that's a SURPRISE (grins mischievously)

(NEW NOTE-9/25/08-If you're following this story, you'll understand why I changed the top line of the pairings comments. I have decided to pair Harry with someone, and while it will be an important turn in the story and the plot, it won't become the main focus. My talent is not full blown romance, nor is that what this story is established as, and I won't change that, though I did eventually decide that fate owed him a little something in the way of his personal happiness -hint, hint-)
