Hiya! So, there's a fanfic meme floating around tumblr: recommend a fic, explain why you're recommending it, and leave your comments as a review on said fic.

So, without further ado, here's why I recommended this fic for the category of "a fic you stayed up all night to read":

All Fall Down by mon-petit-pois (on ). (TW/CW: there are descriptions of sexual assault and drugging (among other serious topics) in this fic, please be aware!) So this is maybe the only abandoned fic that I’ll ever recommend, but... it’s a truly engaging, original AU. It follows a young Ziva as she settles into her new under-the-radar life in the US with Ari and (the original) Tali after spending several incredibly traumatic and harrowing years undercover for Mossad. She meets one Very Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo after she’s injured in a mugging attempt, and the two strike up an unlikely friendship as she tries to come to terms with everything she has gone through and what her past means for her future. Okay, so for why I’m recommending it: the story of Ziva’s life undercover in Be’er-Sheva is told through flashbacks, and it’s IMPOSSIBLE to stop reading. You’ll sit there in horror, your hand over your mouth as you root for baby Ziva harder than you’ve ever rooted for anyone in your life. Meanwhile, the story progresses in present time and you’ll find yourself obsessing over the absurdly innocent friendship-that-might-turn-into-more between Ziva and Tony when they’re in a wildly different set of circumstances! And there’s a pretty major plot twist introduced in the beginning of the story that puts an entirely new spin on everything... you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll want to put your head through a wall when you reach the end of what’s posted. Just over 200k and seemingly abandoned, but abandoned close enough to the end of the tale that it’s pretty easy to extrapolate and figure out how the fic is likely to end. So it’s kinda :(/:), I guess, lol.

I really enjoyed this story. I would really enjoy reading more about the David's new life in the states.
You still have fans out here that re really enjoying this fic.

So...almost 2 years since you last updated & I find your story. I’ve really enjoyed reading it. I was at chapter 50 before I realised that it doesn’t say ‘complete’...and I’ve been worried that I’d be disappointed when I reached the end... but I’m not. I’d love there to be more of the story, but this is a pretty good place to finish. Thanks. :)

Oh my goodness I finally found this story again and I just finished reading it up to this chapter! Honestly, this is one of my absolute favorite stories, and you are one of the best authors I've ever read. The way you manipulate the words makes even the most mundane things beautiful. Thank you sooooo much for writing this amazing story!

As I was reading the last 9 chapters, so much of the story was familiar, & I knew that I had already read it...but I read it again anyway, cuz it's so good. Sadly, I realize that there won't be any more updates. You should mark it "complete".

Fantastic story! But to be fair... Love all what you have written! But this one is espacially good, I hope you will write a sequel.

This is absolutely phenomenal writing! It is very late now and I doubt a continuance, but I wish the story would go on and be finished. This is such an amazing piece

I just read your authors note at the beginning of chapter 32 I understand wanting to keep them at a slow pace in their relationship unfortunately the story is slow to the point where readers starting to be discouraged and not going to want to continue reading your well-written story the fact that the Ziva Tony relationship is not going to be concluded until at the end of the story is disappointing a lot of people read these because the characters never did get together in the TV series
