I guess you can call me a writer wannabe. I have a BA in English with a writing emphasis from the University of San Francisco and my elementary teaching credential. I don't use either degree, though I did teach for several years after grad school. I'm currently a mom to my beautiful daughter.

Favorite Books: As I Lay Dying by Faulkner, the Harry Potter series, and anything by Jane Austen or Tolkien.

Favorite tv show: House

Favorite movie: Lord of the Rings trilogy (can't have one without the other two)

Favorite saying: "When life throws you lemons, throw them right back." No idea who said it, but I love it!

Favorite Place: Alaska, I could visit forever and a day and never grow tired of it.

Favorite thing: The ocean, without a doubt.

Username Origin: White water rafting in Alaska, 4 wheeling in the shadow of Mt. McKinley in Alaska, taking a helicopter up to the Mendenhall Glacier outside of Juneau, Alaska and drinking from a fresh water stream on the glacier. Watching the "Giselle" ballet in St. Petersburg Russia, visiting the ship museum in Norway, the ice bar in Sweden, walking the same streets my great grandfather once did in Denmark, touring the Tower of London and touring the cobblestone streets of Estonia, touring the rock church in Finland, kayaking in Key West, swimming with sting rays in Grand Cayman, climbing the waterfall in Jamaica, watching women carry baskets on their heads in Guatemala (and the daunting airport runway in Guatemala City, with the hill you have to go down because the runway is too short for a normal take off, no joke), and all the places I've seen in the US. Hate to fly, but I LOVE to visit new places.

Hobbies: Writing, photography, dog agility, cocker spaniels, reading, travel and watching House!

None of my stories contain smut. There might be hints of things here and there but no explicit smut. It's just not what I like to write...to each their own. I hold nothing against those who do write it. I just know I'd be horrible at writing it.

My first stories, those from Feb.'08-June '08, were posted without a beta and I am very slowly going back to correct the oodles of mistakes that still exist. I do not own these characters (except for the ones I create), nor profit from these stories so please don't sue! I'm just borrowing the House characters for a little while, and I promise to try and put them back just as I found them.

If you like sugary sweet, happy endings...you've come to the wrong place. I will occasionally write the happy ending, but I prefer the angsty, drama filled sort.
