I really like the way the letter was written. it definitely points out Albus's flaws and mistakes, but doesn't paint him out as the bad guy, or of having an evil agenda. It was definitely wrong and Harry'll totally be mad, but for us severitus shippers it's very pleasing. Also, I'm glad James isn't set up as the bad guy and that Severus didn't know (my two requirements for a harry is his son fic) and hopefully there won't be an appearance change spell, tho I could deal with that. Great beginning.

Not a lot of stories can drive me to tears but this one has. I felt like sobbing right along with Harry and Ginny when Lily died. You did a brilliant job writing this story and I can only hope that I can some day bring my readers to such strong emotions through my own writing.

This seems... a lot more realistic than many "Oh, god, he's YOUR father?!" stories.
(Of course, I have to be the cantankerous person writing the "yup. your father. he's known since before you were born." story.)
