Reviews for In Blood Only
SlytherinMinx chapter 39 . 7/7
This story is amazing. I love the way you portrayed Snape and Harry's relationship. I've read too many fanfics where they either almost instantly forget their previous relationship or one of them has a complete personality transplant. So this was refreshing take on the whole Snape is Harry's dad troupe.
Guest chapter 1 . 7/2
Tormenting an already depressed child—whose fucked up idea of parenting is that!
DarkAngel chapter 45 . 7/1
Just finished this and wow! This really was a different one!
After all this time, I dou t you will read this comment but kudos to what you have written. I genuinely enjoy the other Severitus fics in which Snape gets mushy over time but you actually wrote one where he is mostly in character with book Snape (and sometimes even worse)
Since this was written before the last book, the story deviates greatly from canon but you handled it really well. I loved the reason why Snape changed sides and Harry's interpretation of it. I'm disappointed that you didn't write a sequel featuring Voldemort's demise but yeah, you did enough to leave the rest to our fantasy.
Btw, I really loved your Harry and how Snape starts tonlike him because of a lot the traits he despised.
I just didn't like how Harry went from calling Snape father to calling him Snape again. That was a little disappointing but the epilogue was great and you managed to not make then go too soft.
Really well done!
Tog Obsessed chapter 45 . 6/26
I can't believe I read this whole thing in one afternoon...
Guest chapter 1 . 6/10
I refuse to believe that the Snape that J.K. created was so much of a bastard. Sorry. Your Snape is so OOC that I hate him.
When Harry had seen into his pensieve, Snape did pin him to the wall for a moment, but then let him go. He could never deliberately hurt a cgild. Whereas your Snape was ABUSIVE! He didn’t have a shred of humanity or decency in his person even for his own blood. If this is a sort of father Harry got, he was better off as an orphan, I feel.
Snape could not take Lily’s amger out on the poor child—even canon Snape never hurt Harry so much because of James!
he could not hurt a child so badly.
Guest chapter 31 . 5/5
It really wasn’t the time for Harry to indulge in self pity wjen his best friend was almost dying, kying alone outside. If anything, he needed to go and save his friend—if he truly wanted to atone for Sirius’ death.
Guest chapter 25 . 5/3
It is the most terrible Snape-Harry relationship I have come across. If that is the level of spite they’ve got for each other—I cannot fathom a way to make them feel any love each other. I haven’t reached the end so I won’t say it is a concluding statement I am making but up until now, the relationship is as good as abusive. Harry would have been better off with Vernon that he could ever be with Snape. Good thing Dumbledore never gave Harry to Snape—because Snape might have eaten the child raw.
Guest chapter 25 . 5/3
Harry is not his ‘territory’ what the fuck!
Guest chapter 24 . 5/3
Will he ever show a shred of love or care to his son—ever?
Guest chapter 23 . 5/3
Harry did not plan things to work that way! It’s bulshit what Snaoe is assuming. Snape is a downright mad, sedastic bastard with no mind or conscience. God! I have never hated Snape do much because of a fanfic, really!
gingera2z chapter 45 . 5/3
I'm normally very stingy with my reviews, because I've come to learn that reviews can be disruptive to the writing process, or put undue pressure on an author to complete stories as if we, the readers, are entitled to their time and skills. Having said that, I knew that when I finished reading this story that I had to give a round of applause for what is one of the best written stories I've read in quite some time. Thank you.

I especially liked how you portrayed Snape's character - it was consistent with canon, and so deeply Slytherin in your analysis that I was completely pulled into his point-of-view. Harry's counter point perspective did a fantastic job of translating the sometimes coldly logical arguments back into a human perspective, without breaking the fourth wall.

But I was absolutely amazed by the true-to-cannon plotline of what could have happened if Snape had unexpectedly found himself Harry's father at the start of HBP, immediately following the occlumency issues and Sirius' death. The twist of the knife between Lily and Snape was genius, and truly sold me on the story as a whole.

This was a phenomenal story, and I thank you for the time and skill you put into it. And finally, thank you for sharing it with the rest of us.
Guest chapter 12 . 5/3
Had I been Harry, I would have feared Snape. He is...psychotic. He is not normal, really. Vindictive and all, but he is truly psychologically ill or something... It is one thing to hate someone and another to relish in someone’s pain—and when that someone is his own son...
I know he has no love for his son, but basic humanity? One has it even fir strangers! The way Snape tortures Harry is wretched at best. And intriguing your own son into the likes of your darkness amd hatred, making him harm his Muggle relatives is preposterous!
If you did intend to make Snape’s character psychologically sick, it’s a great work; but if you have considered your Snape normal—let me tell you, he’s atrocious and I can’t imagine Harry ever considering him anything even akin to a father...
chabluechoco chapter 45 . 4/29

Silas Roman chapter 45 . 4/28
I just finished your story and I do wish I knew how Snape and Harry's relationship was after all the chaos. They seemed to be starting to finally realize they need each other. It was a fascinating story and I really enjoyed it. I wish there was a sequel so I could find out what those two are up to now. Brilliantly written.
Kaxa chapter 45 . 4/15
Really worth the read. The author has managed to made the story in depth and dramatic with an interesting plot even. Probably the most realistic Snape is Harry’s father story out there.
