Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, X-Men: The Movie, Avengers, and Once Upon a Time. Since I am now officially a write on fanfiction and not just another ghost junkie for this site (you know who you are) I guess it's about time that I have an actual bio. To be completely honest, I'm not too sure what I'm supposed to say in this type of situation, so I guess if you've made it this far you might as well keep reading. How I Met Fanfiction.net Well, it started my freshman year of high school, I guess. Actually, no, that's a lie. it started the summer before then. A favorite show of mine had just been cancelled that summer, and I was online looking for spoilers of what it might have turned out to be if there were another season. I know, I know. I was torturing myself further. But don't pretend you've never been in that situation. I wanted to know what I could have had. Anyway, I stumbled upon a Tumblr post of what I was to soon find out was a fanfiction. I didn't realize it at first that it wasn't a spoiler, but was in fact a fiction story involving the characters. I was so frustrated when I reached the end of the page only to realize that it was only the first chapter. I wanted more! But there wasn't anymore I craved more stories like that. It took me a while to find the right search term, but in the comments I noticed that someone mentioned the word fanfiction. I did some more digging and searching around on the internet and I came across a couple more, but for another tv show. On reflection, they were completely horrible. Dreadful, disgusting, and just downright bad. But at the time, I loved them completely. All it took was one keyword to direct me to and by then i was sold on the whole fiction writing thing. But i wasn't fully hooked just yet. It was my freshman year of high school and I had an obsession for the twilight novels. Now the books had been out for nearly a decade at this point and the first three movies had already premiered, but I had yet to read the books. I already saw the other movies, but I hadn't read the books and I heard such good reviews about them. I've always been an avid reader, so I decided to check it out. I finished the first book in a week. New Moon was done in four days. Eclipse was finished in two days. And Breaking Dawn in less than 24 hours. I was hooked at this point to Twilight. The vast difference between the books and the movies were indescribable. I reread the series a few times (Yes! The entire series! I was addicted...). I was an expert at that point of Twilight. It wasn't the fact that I loved the characters or the entire plot. But the message behind the story reached out to me in a way that not many books did. But there were a lot of flaws in the books that I would have loved to fix, but knew I couldn't. Until I remembered . The second I read my first Twilight fanfiction, I was gone. There was nothing anybody could do to save me at this point. There was no turning back. Sooner or later it branched out of the Twilight and into other books and movies and tv shows that I loved. How I Met My Love For Writing It hadn't been too long after my first fanfiction that I read that I realized my love for writing. I caught myself continuously thinking about how I would change and edit other writers' stories to make them my own. One day it got to the point that I was thinking so much about it that I decided to get on my laptop and just put in action what I had been thinking about that entire time. I sat down and began writing one or two chapters each for different fanfictions of all genres, but refused to put up. Maybe it was my fear of rejection rearing it's gruesome head, or maybe it was just pure laziness on my part. But I didn't. And that is partly the reason why I never finished any of them. They just sat unfinished on my laptop. This year, I finally found the balls (which had been hiding under my bed behind the essay that I had due for my English class and never turned in) to post a story of mine that had been nagging me for the past couple of weeks. It was a Harry Potter ff that is currently still in-progress. I have recently began to understand the reason behind authors tendency to take forever updating a chapter. With a whole bunch of other crap going on (Such as SATs, ACTs, Essays, and IB) its kinda super hard to type another chapter. Plus, I think I speak for every writer when I say that I constantly have to deal with the nonstop buzzing in my head of possible stories. I'm always catching myself thinking of another story and then formatting it to particular characters and then ironing out the details of a backstory. It's a long and tiresome project, but the ending result is always worth it. About Me It's not any of your business how old I am, but i know that I am old enough to understand and write about such concepts. I always have been able to do so. My mother have often told me that I was born in the wrong generation. Regardless, I am female and I live in Newark, New Jersey. I go to an award-winning Blue Ribbon High School that is quickly turning to shit as a result of the Satan Spawn that is our Board of Education Head. (Update: Satan Spawn finally resigned , but her prodigy stepped in her place, so the Newark Public Schools is still in danger of being run to the ground). UPDATE: I am currently attending Drew University and just about to finish my third year. Favorite stories I love to read about: -Harry Potter -Twilight -Avengers (and others associated, i.e Thor, Captain America) -X-Men Other stories that I occasionally dabble in: -Teen Wolf -Supernatural -Once Upon A Time -High School Musical -Pirates of the Caribbean -Sons of Anarchy -The Walking Dead -Glee So as you can see, I have no specific taste of stories that I read. I read what I like. My tastes vary greatly, as you can see, and those are still not the only other ff I have read. Those are just the most recent. I have currently in-progress seven stories: Never Let Go, Quick To Fall, Under the Microscope, Perfect Accuracy, Fatum Erratur, Behavior Report, and A Golden Tale. I have currently completed one story: Gifted Hearts There are also a few stories of mine (original stories) that are in progress that I have yet to upload to the website (NOT INCLUDING MY WATTPAD STORIES), but I may--or may not--upload them sometime. (Wattpad name is the same) I try to update my bio every year or so... |
