I know this fic was completed a while ago, but I would still like to suggest the author and anyone else reading this fic currently to do proper research regarding corsets. It is a common misconception that corsets were some kind of torture device made to bind and limit women, but this is simply not true. Corsets were made to the wearer's measurements, and functioned both as a bra and as a way to support the weight of the skirts and crinoline, waist reduction was not its primary function. It also provides very good (and comfortable) back support. All these tales of corsets shifting internal organs are highly exaggerated and only occurred when a lady over tightened her corset, which the average women would very rarely do. When well made, properly fitted, and not tightlaced, corsets are a very comfortable garment to wear. Women of history were not the poor, stupid dears some believe them to be, and if corsets were such torture devices, women would not have continued to wear them in some form or another for hundreds of years. I will also point out that corsets were not something men forced women to wear, either. Corsets were made by women, for women. Although, corsets were popular among men for a while, too. Nit-picking aside, this is one of my favorite Tomione, but as a historical fashion enthusiast, this misconception about corsets that i see in just about every historical fanfic just kind of gets to me, lol.

Omg. okay def some pulled some tears from me this chapter and maybe last, sorry was too invested to review. even her just being in mourning was enough to make me sad. I honestly wasn't expecting that level of gore, haha obviously it's sort of a Gothic Victorian fic, so I dont know why but haha. I was like whoa this went dark. i also was sort of like Hermione bere not really making the connection that her friends, and all they were saying, I always read them as seperate, not realizing well wait they are all actually her of course since they exist in her head. anyways looks like I won't be sleeping tonight not with the last chapter before me!

gah. how can I sleep on an chapter ending like that?! What's happened to Riddle, I am surprised Hermione didn't try to see if he was okay or search for him. or honestly that Draco didnt try to hurt her. I guess Draco is a sweet boy deep down. mostly harmless. I suspected what Lord Malfoy was up to but honestly thought he mi vf ut have taken it further once she was older. as messed up as that is.

So many thoughts, all good I am so excited to find out what is going on and what Draco will do. I am definitely loving this story!

another great chapter! I do still sort of love this version of Bella, still equally sadistic and unhinged but I love the close bond with Hermione too. I loved the moment where she asks him about what exactly is she to him. god that was heartbreaking, and I loved Tom's response, I was worried he'd lie to keep her on his side and was so glad he didnt take it that way, and instead was just honest.. hrm seems someone maybe in denial lol.

gah I love this bizarro AU where Voldemort stands with the oppressed. I've been literally waiting for this moment; when he realizes Hermione doesn't think as the other Purebloods do, and it definitely didn't disappoint! Esp when you threw in that she's made the connections and figured out his background before all this! ugh and the fact that he's still bent on her destruction was great too, albeit a little worrisome.

As for Bella I also adore this twist on her being close and beloved by Hermione, and also the auction was great to see! Obviously the parallels to our own history really hitting home and love Hermione's absolute disgust and how that changes her views on her Aunt and others as she witnesses their appalling behavior and beliefs. I've also never outgrown the petulant child jealousy because I was getting just as upset as a 16yr old Hermione over Bella and Tom's flirting. hahaha yeah I am that jealous vindictive crazy bitch I guess.

omg. I literally don't even know what to say. except I think I lied and am now here for the smut, haha it's just so delicious lol. I do love Tom probably unknowingly getting in over his head, thinking emotional manipulation would be easy once things get physical. And they got caught! but also there's magic! hooray! haha terrible but I loved it. I can't believe how brazen Tom is sometimes. just got caught, cool, wanna go again in the other room? anyaywa I do have to sleep now, my kids will be up in a few hours, otherwise I'd just skip sleep to see what happens!
