New profile: April 27, 2012:

Probably no one cares, but...I'm having a rare diary moment and you're getting the brunt of it.

I haven't done the Botox and filler...yet. But I have the numbing cream and the doc said to call whenever I'm ready.

My children are giving me simultaneous acne and wrinkles. Okay, the acne might not be their fault. Wrinkles - 100% them. Adore them. Hope they move out soon.

I suck at review replies because...I have a job and a husband and three kids who are constantly in need of a chauffeur, cook, maid, laundress dictator. I'm very hit and miss with replying and I apologize for that. But I read and treasure every review, favorite, and alert.

Old profile: Profiles can be so misleading...I could really write whatever I want here. Hmmmm...too bad I'm a sucky liar, except when it comes to hiding new purchases (usually shoes) from my husband!

I used to think I was old...when I was 39.

I just turned 40 and I don't think that's old at all! I had a huge party and had a great time. Then I went to the dermatologist two days later and had a frank discussion about fillers and botox. lol I mean, that's true, but it's totally cliche for someone who just had a "milestone" birthday. I haven't decided yet what I'll do... decisions, decisions. heh heh For the record, the appointment wasn't just for cosmetic reasons. I had a couple of odd-looking spots removed from my arm. That's what I get for baking myself with baby oil for so many years as a teenager.

I'm totally mad at my best friend... like potentially friendship-ending mad. She can't keep her mouth shut about anything, which is a recent development. We've been best friends more than 20 years. Hypocritically, I'm also mad at my sister for keeping her mouth shut about something and letting me be blindsided by someone else in our family. Great. Hypocrisy is one of my pet peeves and so I'm also pissed at myself. It's been an active week.

I'm married, have three mostly great kids, a full-time job that I really, really like. I also have a fantastic bunch of girlfriends who will drink copious amounts of alcohol with me and eat chocolate cake right out of the pan. Not usually at the same time because beer and chocolate don't taste good together.

So, there you have it. I'm old, boring, and mostly happy.

Update: April 27, 2012: readergoof made a beautiful banner for NHB that I love, and it only took me one entire month (okay, a little longer) to sit down at the computer long enough to figure out how to do the linky thing again. Old brain. Link below...I THINK it works. :)
