I am an unofficial sociopath with a love for unusual and unique fan fics. I am a well trained writer with the ability to control the urges of every day fangirlism! (Yes I made that up) I have several official stories posted and over fifty unwritten fics just floating around my head(I have no idea how to get them out!!). My interest span from comics (Watchmen) to movies (Friday the 13th), to everything else in between! I am made of neither White nor Black but of Ink! I am Madder than the Hatter from Wonderland and Wittier than Charlie from the Chocolate Factory! (Although I desparatly wish I had a factory that made chocolate)... I would also be charged with escaping detection and mentally scarring the veiwers online! If I ever stand before a judge, I would be forced to plea 'Guilty As Charged'. "THE SOLDIERS NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS" “Merry Christmas, My Friend” by LCpl James M Schmidt, USMC, 1986 Twas the night before Christmas, he lived all alone, In a one bedroom house made of plaster & stone. I had come down the chimney, with presents to give and to see just who in this home did live As I looked all about, a strange sight I did see, no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree. No stocking by the fire, just boots filled with sand. On the wall hung pictures of a far distant land. With medals and badges, awards of all kind, a sobering thought soon came to my mind. For this house was different, unlike any I'd seen. This was the home of a U.S. Marine. I'd heard stories about them, I had to see more, so I walked down the hall and pushed open the door. And there he lay sleeping, silent, alone, Curled up on the floor in his one-bedroom home. He seemed so gentle, his face so serene, Not how I pictured a U.S. Marine. Was this the hero, of whom I’d just read? Curled up in his poncho, a floor for his bed? His head was clean-shaven, his weathered face tan. I soon understood, this was more than a man. For I realized the families that I saw that night, owed their lives to these men, who were willing to fight. Soon around the Nation, the children would play, And grown-ups would celebrate on a bright Christmas day. They all enjoyed freedom, each month and all year, because of Marines like this one lying here. I couldn’t help wonder how many lay alone, on a cold Christmas Eve, in a land far from home. Just the very thought brought a tear to my eye. I dropped to my knees and I started to cry. He must have awoken, for I heard a rough voice, "Santa, don't cry, this life is my choice I fight for freedom, I don't ask for more. My life is my God, my country, my Corps." With that he rolled over, drifted off into sleep, I couldn't control it, I continued to weep. I watched him for hours, so silent and still. I noticed he shivered from the cold night's chill. So I took off my jacket, the one made of red, and covered this Marine from his toes to his head. Then I put on his T-shirt of scarlet and gold, with an eagle, globe and anchor emblazoned so bold. And although it barely fit me, I began to swell with pride, and for one shining moment, I was Marine Corps deep inside. I didn't want to leave him so quiet in the night, this guardian of honor so willing to fight. But half asleep he rolled over, and in a voice clean and pure, said "Carry on, Santa, it's Christmas Day, all is secure." One look at my watch and I knew he was right, Merry Christmas my friend, Semper Fi and goodnight. "Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it." - Helen Keller "Monsters are real, and ghost are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win." -Stephen King We all live in a house on fire, no fire department to call; no way out." -Tennessee Williams "We are all brothers under the skin, and I, for one, would be willing to skin humanity to prove it." -Ayn Rand "Every man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats." -H.L. Mencken "Gods sends meat and the Devil sends cooks." -Thomas Deloney OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion, or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing. A moment of silence. ONLY IN AMERICA 1. Only in America...can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance. (in case you were wondering, I have proof that this is true. My cousin actually ordered a pizza at the same time an ambulance was called to pick up my grandfather. Guess who won?) 2.
