Absolutely fantastic new chapter! Love the mix of lighthearted and funny followed by gradually longer and longer separations and Harry's subsequent decline again. Love how you do that - Harry's ability to maintain some sort of grasp on his mind and memories linked to his connections to people in this world. He needs it, he wants it and craves it but at the same time is terrified by it (justifiably so!). Love how Skull can read brick walls like Fon. Also love the running theme of the misunderstood under-new-management Carcassa. This is truly a remarkable story and your characters are memorable. Haunting, really.

I’m dying to know what happens next. What’s the cave about? How is Fon dealing with this? Will Giovanni contact him about Skull being MIA? Will the other Arcobaleno figure out what’s happening with Skull?

Of all the Arcobaleno, Fon is my favorite. In this story he’s a less shitty friend than the rest. For that I respect him. Skull desert so much better than being bullied, abused and ignored by his supposed Famiglia... they should have helped him from the start, instead of having fun belittling him, them ignoro his existence for years.

If Fon hadn’t looked for him and tried to actually look after him, Skull would have forgotten them completely. Sometimes I think he’s better off without them. The arcobaleno are shitty companions and Skull could certainly find a way better group to support him.

Skull deserves better. End of story.

I dearly hope you write guilty arcobaleno. Fon would be worried sick, since he actually cares about Skull. It’d be fun if after some more 10 years apart and no one able to find Skull, and Fon worried sick and storming at his fellow arcobaleno, somehow they finally located Skull, only for said man look at them blankly and ask “Who the fuck are you?” And this time he’d not be able to remember anyone, but Fon, after lots of effort and notebook perusals, but Skull wouldn’t give a damn about them and their goals, he’d be too busy fighting his own demons and his curse.

It’d be hilarious if the arcobaleno didn’t recognize Skull anymore because he’s personality, to them who never knew him truly beyond the mask, would be completely different. This brooding, intense, dangerous and deadly Cloud who looked at them like they were insignificant ants couldn’t possibly be their lackey.

And when Skull got annoyed at their insistence, he’d just beat them to a bloody pulp (except Fon because he liked the guy. They have a bond). The others were fair game. Skull was stronger and more determined than ever to find a way to end his curse and maybe go back home or find something to ground him.

I am still under the belief that Skull is secretly a Cloudy Sky. A powerful and dangerous one.
