Author has written 43 stories for Cars, Thomas the Tank Engine, Cinderella, Fireman Sam, Hinterland, and Snowy River: The McGregor Saga. Hi everyone! I am a BA (Bachelor of Arts) graduate from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, with an extended major in Creative Writing. I'm really looking forward to some useful feedback on my FanFiction stories. I write these stories simply for the enjoyment of it, and also to help keep my writing skills sharp. I hope you enjoy them as much as my friends do. I greatly appreciate all constructive feedback on my stories, but please do not suggest any ideas. I am following a very strict story plot, and the suggestions can alter and detract from the story I intended to write. The World of Cars films are very personal to me, because when I was in high school, I was a rather successful middle and long distance runner, specialising mostly in the 1500 metre race. Sadly, I developed a chronic knee injury in grade ten, and was advised to give up running. But I couldn't, because I loved it so much. The first Cars film was released during my final year of high school. During that year, several months before my school's annual athletics carnival, I started having the same nightmare over and over again. In it, my knee would give out and I would collapse just five metres before the finish line in the 1500m. On the day of the athletics carnival, I decided to go in all the races - something I'd never done before. I did really well in the 100 and 200 metre races, and by the start of the 400 metre race, I'd cast the nightmares aside as trivial nonsense. I felt great as I started the 400m, but as I came down the home stretch, I started to push myself a bit harder than I probably should have. I guess I just really wanted to win. Next thing I knew, my knee cracked, and I blacked out. I came around only a few seconds later, still lying on the track, unable to move. Some of my teammates dragged me across the finish line, but I'd torn both of my knees open. Despite that, I didn't give up. I went on to run in the 1500m, where I came 4th, and still managed to qualify for the districts. Since then, however, I have not been able to run over long distances without my knee giving out, so when Planes: Fire and Rescue came out last year, I was really excited to see it, because I knew I'd be able to fully relate to it. It is currently my favourite movie. I am hoping to start running again one day soon, but my knee will always be a problem. That doesn't bother me though. Like Dusty, I've changed the focus of my life, and now I'm a passionate author. Aside from the World of Cars franchise and anything to do with Lightning McQueen, I love horses (both real and model), steam engines (again both real and model), V8 Supercars, dolphins, pilot whales and Orcas, and, of course, writing. I own a chestnut Quarter Pony named Billy Can Spin (Billy), and I volunteer as an engine cleaner/trainee fireman at both the Puffing Billy Railway in Victoria, Australia, and at the Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway near Ipswich, Queensland. My Cars World stories should be read in the following order: 1. Lightning's Secret 2. Little Lightning (set before the flashback scene in Lightning's Secret) 3. Lightning's Teething Trouble 4. Mud! 5. Goodbye Doc 6. Lightning vs Dusty 7. Cars: Downunder 8. Lightning and the V8 Supercars 9. Lightning the V8 Supercar I have also written a story in the Planes franchise called Planes: Search and Rescue. My Fireman Sam stories should be read in the following order: 1. Heroic Homecoming 2. Jupiter's Breakdown 3. Through Sam's Eyes: The Great Fire of Pontypandy 4. Through Sam's Eyes: Heroes of the Storm 5: Through Sam's Eyes: Alien Alert |
