One more thing about your writing! (Now that I'm reviewing over here.) I like how realistic the set-up and reactions of people are, especially in light of jarring crossovers where people will assume the universe abides by their own laws and expectations. It's very sensible, not at all contrived, and really, it's fantastic to read something that actually makes sense.

I'm just sayin', Danny is totes a Lar. Well, Half-Lar, but still a Lar. It's a Greek/Latin sort of benevolent Protector Ghost. Their field of influence increases & decreases depending on how strong a spirit they are. It can range from crossroads, (which, I suspect causes the intersection to be unusable to Crossroad Demons) to suburbs, to villages, to towns, to cities. Some have been noted to defend entire city-states if they were powerful enough. If one can become strong enough, they were sometimes even considered lesser gods & were known for specifically protecting families, which is where the Household Gods of Rome came to be. They were even associated with the Goddess of the Hearth.

Some of the lore says that they are the ghosts of heroes who're not yet ready to move on & feel they need to continue their work even in death.

Then, there are Tommyknockers which are sometimes described as the ghosts of miners. They're evidently pretty benign spirits that actually have a tendency to warn living miners when they start prospecting too close to an area in a mine that's fixin' to collapse or cave-in or something by knocking on the cave wall in front of the living miner as if from the other side of it. If a miner hears knocking from what sounds like the other side of a cave wall they'd been digging even though there should be nothing but rock beyond, then the miner better drop the pickaxe & leg it outta there, because it means that a Tommyknocker is warning them that the cave they're standing in is unstable.
