TwistThingsABit chapter 20 . 3/25
After the God of Control Yaldabaoth was destroyed and I guess humanity collectively and unconsciously rebuilt the world because according to Morgana, as he was fading away, towards the end of Persona 5. The world is a product of cognition and since no god was controlling it. Did he basically imply that because people collectively and unconsciously remade the world, then things in the meta verse could technically exist in reality without that medium like using the app such as the Persona ability itself, they just need to believe they can? The only proof I have of this is the fact that Morgana did come back to life because the small wishes/prayers of a few powerful, willing and Conscious individuals, The Phantom thieves themselves. And if the Persona series itself is all in the same place but at different times then Persona 3 is also proof of this because according to Metis in The Answer the Shadow’s power, The Persona’s Power, has the ability to warp time and space and through the SEES team desire of not wanting time to move forward caused a time anomaly. Not only did Morgana come back to life, but a strong group of willful people managed to also bring him back into reality itself, probably through their Persona. So I understand you have the Phantom Thieves doing their normal routine of changing hearts without publicly revealing themselves, but I believe they are capable of more simply because the Persona is an extension of their will and could actually do more to help in the Reaper War in reality itself, not just the meta-verse. The only I guess why they don’t wish the reapers out of existence is because they all had a deep connection with Morgana himself and really wanted him back. The Persona’s ability while capable of a Universal Level of Feats, is probably still bound by some invisible rules like the Confidant System and the abilities they have while training them. My only question is are the phantom thrives a little too OP, because if this is after they defeated god aren’t they at least like Level 75, they could probably blow up ships without even trying...
Lore-Whore chapter 25 . 3/25
Something I feel like should be made apparent since your still “bridging” these complicated worlds. Have you decided if the ability to utilize Persona is purely a human skill or will all forms of life be able to utilize this power? The reason I’m bringing this up is because in Persona Lore (Keeping mind that Persona 1-5 all seem to be in the same literal place just different time periods).

In the Persona 3 Club Book, in a Q&A section it is stated that Nyx is in fact a living being outside reality the size of a celestial body known as "the Planet Eater," that drifted space in a dormant state. Eventually, this being collided with the Earth, and ended up entering Earth's orbit becoming its moon, but leaving its psyche on the surface. This "wave-like psyche" stood a contradiction to the already existing life on earth, which was still at a very primitive state. In order to resist this contradiction, the lifeforms on Earth had a period of evolution and developed a collective subconsciousness in which the lifeforms locked away the psyche of Nyx by suppressing its psyche with their own thoughts. Nyx's physical body entered a healing process after colliding with the Earth from within Earth's moon. By the time Persona 3 takes place, that process was just about done. The Fall is the process in which Nyx's psyche re-enters its physical body, giving Nyx its original form back, meaning a paradox for life on Earth, and thus the end of the world.

The guidebook also makes a quick mention of the Great Will (a recurring power in the main series), stating that Gods and Demons emerge from humans as another means to defend their psyche from Nyx.

Basically, humanity has a more evolved form of consciousness (the collective unconscious) compared to other species due to this phenomena in the early life of the planet forming. What I find beautiful about this, it this kinda explains where human willpower came from and why it’s so unique. Often times, humans in all fiction have a superpower that’s just indomitable willpower compared to other species. It’s essentially the same in Mass Effect, there’s nothing special about humanity compared to other species. But SMT Persona basically is an expanded explanation of that universal concept which most fiction attributed to just being willpower, but why. This is personally what I find cool about this story, because other species will have a consciousness at some point but not nearly on the same level due to NYX crashing into the Earth causing its life to have a needed period of mental evolution.

Essentially, the phantom thieves will still be able to do their thing, but probably won’t encounter resistance in the form of Alien Persona Users. But maybe something you can twist here, maybe coming across a human allows other aliens to use a persona because according to SMT Lore, humanity is essentially the children of NYX whose considered the mother of shadows, the undesirable part of the human spirit.

Not sure how your going about defining that portion, because apparently body mind soul spirit psyche consciousness mean similar yet different things depending on the context, maybe this is something you want to look into even though you said you haven’t gone through the wikia completely.

This is a great story, and I can hardly wait for more. I hope you have a way to keep Nihlus alive. It'd be awesome if he joined the Phantom Thieves.

I'm curious as to what romantic relationship that Sheperd will have. I'm a personal fan of the Garrus Vakarian and Fem Sheperd ship.
okguy167 chapter 25 . 6/10/2019
I keep forgetting that this is also a Mass Effect story, (as my confusion for not realizing that Alex was a major character in ME period) so I should probably at least research that just for the sake of not being completely lost.
That being said, I'm still immensely enjoying this story anyway. All of the little quirks of these characters, their one liners, and Margaret using Megidolaon to break up a fight have killed me more times than once.
That, and the way you're breaking up the Palaces with normal everyday life is good. That's a big part of Persona in general, and if I didn't know any better, I'd say you guys actually are Phantom Thieves from how naturally this comes together.
Have a Little Feith chapter 25 . 6/8/2019
I can't believe I didn't notice before... Shepard was using Wonder Woman's name. Heh, I totally get why she would, though. She is essentially a wonder woman. I mean, N7 training is essentially supersoldier training. Man, I must've missed it because I was essentially not thinking about anything but the story.

Finally gonna get around to adding to that review counter.

I like your set up and characterization. I forgot about the time manipulation Shadows are capable of. I am concerned for their safety in the ME universe so I hope they gdt better equipped soon.

Thanks for the chapter and story. I look forwards to more.

Luchux chapter 22 . 2/27/2019
Well, I'm gonna confess. First this chapter was awesome (as always), and second... I kind of listened to "You Say Run" instead of the recomended track for the last part of Shadow Charles fight. Lol.
Have a Little Feith chapter 11 . 2/19/2019
Oh man... I love that smart aleck remark Samef added at the end. Now, I really should be heading to bed. It’s almost 1:50 AM as I write this. I’m on either New York Time/whatever timezone Ogdensburg(berg?), NY is on, or Ottawa, Ontario time, depending on where you’re from. For those who are wondering, that is.
Fecyrineu chapter 21 . 2/17/2019
The Phanton Thieves are back, baby!
I wonder how the public will react to the Phantom Thieves. "Wait, these Phanton Thieves group existed a couple decades ago, what the hell?". Better yet, how the aliens will react to discovering about the Phantons. I'm looking foward towards the next episode.
Luchux chapter 21 . 2/14/2019
Hell yeah! Quite literally! Lol.
Now seriously, the palace is about to crumble with Saracino on it, you don't know how much I wanted to do something like that to him ever since I met his hypocrite ass in Mass Effect 1. I'm gonna enjoy next chapter greatly!
Legianreader2003 chapter 20 . 2/1/2019
