Okay, this is at LEAST the third time I've read this story. I must say, I really hope that you will one day pick it up again (though not at the expense of the 'Serpent's Renaissance' - I love that very much as well).
I really love Saphira's reaction to finding out that Shruikan is a Shade.
Oh, and there's one question I was wondering about for most of the story: Is the reason that Harry-Shruikan doesn't have a Shade's signature red eyes due to him being a dragon, due to him being non-evil or due to artistic license?
Another thing I'm wondering (but that I still hope I will maybe one day find out if you continue this story - so I'm not asking for an answer) what conclusion Galbatorix will draw once he gets Durza's report. I guess he will also arrive at the order survivor theory - but Durza has also seen the color of Shruikan's fire and while Durza might not understand the significance of the flame's color I wonder if that will be enough for Galbatorix to draw the correct conclusion no matter how outlandish it seems.

This was a very unexpected story. I love the idea of it and it’s convinced me to look into more Eragon FanFiction.

I can’t abide such epic levels of stupidity in characters. When characters make dumb decisions just to create drama, that’s when I leave. That to me is bad writing.

I do hope that you can return to this someday. I always loved the originals until it caught a bad case of Kudzu plot around book three. After that it seemed to turn into some strange delight in ensuring that characters had bad things happen to them, with a rather unsubtle bit of political commentary on the side.

I know that you can't respond to me, since I'm fairly sure this is an anonymous review (I don't _think_ I have an account, after all), but I'm hoping that the eventual ending of this version doesn't feature the dragons mating and then promptly separating forever (I meant Arya's green and Saphira; apparently I need to clarify since Shruikan is on the side of good this time around); I always found that their justifications rang a bit hollow, and I also did ship Eragon and Arya too.

Regarding his leaving, I mean, even then, no one knew the location of the Riders' island, so reusing it wouldn't be less secure than leaving the continent forever. They had a spell to clean up the fallout, if I remember right, since they had to deal with Galbatorix's "Be Not" suicide plan, and they'd still have to ferry dragons and/or riders to and from the new location. It was also the case that with so few characters on the side of good left (although I hope that's one of the things changed) that they should probably have stayed to help with the cleanup and new world order, too. One of the things I always wondered about was what the bastard tree with the starmetal under its roots did. It was rather unhelpful, considering that Saphira only scratched it, even after it was already being difficult. I think a few readers had a conspiracy that it twisted Eragon somehow to think that leaving was a good idea. That and self-fulfilling prophecies...

I really enjoyed this story. Have you abandoned it? Just curious because you haven't updated in a while.

Pointless nerf. Stupid decisions over and over. I’ve quickly lost interest in this because the main character is a fucking idiot.

I really really REALLY wish this would be updated, I love the concept of a Harry!Shurkian Characters and its even better that you don't immediately make him overpowered with everything.

Well, it's been 3 years, out of 5... but this is a good enough story to wait another 2 lol

Hope you come back to this some day, even if it's as a revision or a rewrite rather than a continuation.
