Author has written 45 stories for Ninja Turtles, Fruits Basket, Gundam Wing/AC, Bleach, Yu-Gi-Oh, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Transformers/Beast Wars, Young Justice, and Batman. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! For those of you who were waiting on that update for my two Gundam Wing stories "Just One of Those Days and Love is A Battlefiled", I've decided to completely rewrite the first story. As for the second story, I haven't given up on that story. I have a few ideas swimming around in my head but I swear as soon as the creative juices kick in, I'm going to finish that story! Thank you for your patience and understanding. You guys rock! Why Do You Bounce Around Fandoms So Much? I'm sure a lot of you guys have looked at my profile page and thought to yourselves, "Why can't she just stick with one fandom?" For me, that's nearly impossible. I have a wide variety of tastes and I like a little bit of everything: comics, video games, movies, cartoons, etc. I can't just stick with one fandom because so many of them have my heart. Right now, my heart is stuck on Batman and/or DC. That's not to say I dislike Marvel because I love them too. I just really love X-Men and the Avengers. Those are the two biggest reasons why I haven't ditched Marvel and just stayed with DC. At any rate, I want to take this time to address something. When I first started writing fanfiction, it was purely unintentional. Back in 2003, I stumbled across the new TMNT series that was airing on Fox at the time. I know a lot of people who love the TMNT but it was something about that show that just sucked me right in from the get go. Every time a new episode aired, I would be glued in front of the television. It wasn't long before I went looking for artwork and stories. I came across some very talented and lovely TMNT authors on here and followed their works closely. I had already convinced myself that I didn't have the guts or talent to write anything but I would leave reviews like any good fan would. Eventually, one of the authors suggested that I start writing. I was nervous and flattered because I always thought my writing was terrible. Trust me. If you saw some of my earlier stories, you'd either laugh until you started crying or you'd run away in horror. Yeah, I made every rookie mistake you could think of. OOC, original characters, terrible grammar, ignoring canon, etc. Those TMNT authors, however, took me under their wings and nurtured me. That's not to say other writers in other fandoms didn't help me but in the TMNT fandom, it was the first time I actually felt welcomed. Like it wasn't weird to like something that was out of my age range. I could geek out over the Turtles and no one would blink an eye. I was in good company. Then eventually, I ended up with a severe case of writer's block coupled with some of other fandoms taking over my attention. I bounced from TMNT to Gundam Wing to Young Justice. And it stayed that way for a while. I'd swing between each fandom, never letting one of them take up too much time. Eventually, I stopped writing for TMNT and I went on an indefinite hiatus with Gundam Wing because it was an older anime and a lot of the fans weren't really invested in the show anymore. That's what happens when newer and better Gundam series debut. Then Young Justice came on the air. Man, oh man! When I say that series grabbed hold of my heart and refused to let go? It was everything I craved in a superhero series. You're looking at someone who adores Batman: The Animated Series, X-Men: The Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, etc. I am a sucker for superheroes okay? Then the unthinkable happened. The Big Wigs canceled Young Justice and I lost the desire to write anything related to Young Justice. That was another fandom that embraced me and nurtured me. I'd only had positive experiences with the TMNT and Young Justice fandoms. With the Gundam Wing fandom, it was always divided. You had to pick a side and stay there. There was no such thing as being neutral or friendly sides. I could share some horror stories with you but I'll save that for a later day okay? At any rate, the year was 2012. Originally, I was terrified to write anything for the Batman fandom because the very first Batman story I posted was right around the time of Final Crisis, Batman RIP, etc. You know the story-lines where they killed off Batman but really he was lost in time? Yeah, I really hated that time period of comics for multiple reasons but the biggest issue I had was their portrayal of Batman. Somewhere along the line, he went from being human to barely human. His interaction with the Bat Family members were tense and limited to just Batman related stuff. Not to mention, his social life and romantic life went south. I know they intended to show us what would happen if Batman lost everything but I think they could have done a better job. That’s how my first Batman story was born. I don’t even remember the name of the story but basically it was supposed to be an angsty one shot where Batman didn’t have any allies and he was left to face some of his worst villains without any backup from the Bat Family, Justice League, or anyone else he could count on. The one shot was supposed to end with Batman basically walking to his death because he knew he wouldn’t be coming back from this battle. I think I let the story stay uploaded for about two weeks before I finally pulled it down in embarrassment. I didn’t get a single drop of feedback. No emails, reviews, fave alerts, etc. As long as I’d been writing fanfiction, I’d never actually had that happen. I’ve dabbled in different fandoms before but that was a shock to me. Normally I’d get a fave alert or at the very least two or three reviews but that story didn’t get anything. Because of that fiasco, I actually stopped writing fanfiction altogether until I stumbled across some new friends who were very dedicated Batman fans. It’s because of them that I mustered up the strength to start writing again. So you guys have Batman Writers Unite to thank for me picking up the pen again. Where am I going with this? My point is simple. Don't let anybody or anything keep you from doing what you love! You're going to hit roadblocks. You're going to trip, stumble and fall multiple times but if writing is your passion then write! Write every day and hone those skills. If you love cooking, then keep at it. You want to be a painter? Start painting and don't look back! You want to travel the world? Then start doing your research and saving up some money. Life is too short to spend time wondering if you're good enough or if you think you can do it. Don't think about it. Try it! It wouldn't hurt to try something new. You don't want to wake up one day and realize that you never got to do anything do you? I'm sorry if I sound preachy but I just wanted to share my experience with you guys. I figured someone might be able to get some encouragement from my story. Everything You Need To Know About Me As An Author Like most of you guys I started out as an avid lurker on here and multiple other websites/forums dedicated to anime/manga. I enjoyed (and still do actually) many different fandoms so I would just search for stories about fandoms that I loved to pieces such as Gundam Wing or TMNT. I didn't really think I'd end up writing fanfiction until a few of my good TMNT friends encouraged me to pick up the pen again. Originally I started off as a Gundam Wing fanfic writer. Some of my stories were decent while others should have never seen the light of day. I like to think I've grown to be a much better writer. Moving right along, some of you may be wondering why my stories always tend to focus so much on angst, drama, tragedy, friendship or familial bonds. Those are the genres I write the best or so I've been told. After those three genres, I'm pretty good with comedies. Apparently, I write subtle humor which is supposedly the best kind of comedy. Again, this is what I've been told. Honestly? I think I stink at writing comedies. I will admit that I am very guilty of having some sort of positive message shown in my works. This is because I believe we see enough dark and depressing stuff in the world. Keeping that in mind, I also try my hardest to address realistic issues and problems in my stories. You will never catch me writing crazy, nonsensical stories just for the heck of it. The only way you'll see those sort of stories on my page is if I'm writing a humor/parody fanfiction. If I'm not writing family centric stories then I tend to write friendship centric stories. This is mainly because sometimes I want to read about two characters interacting with one another and learning about each other. In the various fandoms I follow, there's no way everyone is all buddy buddy like most fanfiction writers tend to make them. Sometimes I just want to see characters hanging out and doing normal every day stuff. If you have a question or just want to chat, please feel free to email me or send me a private message. I'm harmless. I may talk your ear off and geek out shamelessly but I promise I don't bite. I'm always up for learning about my fellow authors or being introduced to a new series. _ Favorite Stories/Authors I want you guys to know if I don't review your story, it's not because I didn't enjoy it. It's because I have way too may favorites saved on my page already. So that means if I end up saving you as a favorite author, that means I like your stories. If you want to browse through my stories, you'll see that I bounce around fandoms a lot. Who knows. You may find something that you actually like if you browse through my favorite authors/stories. You could even send me a PM if you're looking for really good authors or well written stories. I swear it's like almost every story I stumble across is gold! Then again, that's just my nerdy side showing. _ Top Ten Favorite Pairings Batman: Batman/Catwoman, Nightwing/Oracle, Nightwing/Starfire, Batman/Zatanna & Tim Drake/Tamara Fox Gundam Wing: Duo/Hilde, Quatre/Dorothy & Heero/Relena Fruits Basket: Kyou/Tohru & Hatori/Kana (Honorable Mention: Ayame/Mine) Naruto: Naruto/Hinata & Tsunade/Jiraya Bleach: Renji/Rukia & Ishida/Orihime (Honorable Mentions: Byakuya/Yoruichi & Ulquoirra/Orihime) Sailor Moon: Nephrite/Makoto and Kunzite/Minako TMNT: Leonardo/Karai Justice League: Superman/Wonder Woman & Green Arrow/Black Canary Yu-Gi-Oh: Seto Kaiba/Kisara & Jonouichi/Mai (Honorable Mention: Seto Kaiba/Ishizu) X-Men: Gambit/Rogue & Wolverine/Storm & Kitty(when she's older)/Colossus (Honorable Mention: Cyclops/Jean Gray) Absolute Favorite Characters Batman: Richard Grayson and Bruce Wayne Gundam Wing: Duo Maxwell and Quatre Winner Fruits Basket: Ayame Sohma, Hatori Sohma, Kyou Sohma, Rin Sohma, Kazuma Sohma, Hanajima and Kisa Sohma Naruto: Jiraya, Shikamaru Nara, Neji Hyuuga, Kakashi Hatake, Might Guy, Hinata Hyuuga, Ino Yamanaka and Temari Bleach: Renji Abarai, Byakuya Kuchiki, Ishida Uryuu, Rangiku Matsumoto and Yoruichi Shihoin Sailor Moon: Makoto Kino (Sailor Jupiter) TMNT: Michelangelo Justice League: Flash and The Question Yu-Gi-Oh: Seto Kaiba X-Men: Wolverine, Gambit, Storm, Rogue and Jubilee My Policy On Reviews I will gladly review a story but I'm a firm believer in returning the favor. Nothing irritates me more than reviewing a story that you've been following for weeks and/or months but then no one bothers to review your works. I do enjoy writing but I think it's only fair if I review your story that you should let me hear your thoughts on my stories. Please don't think I'm being mean when I say that but it's honestly how I feel. Fair is fair right? Constructive criticisms are always welcomed but no flames. What's the purpose of reading a story if you're only going to rant and/or rave about how much you hate it or how much it sucked? If you don't like what you're reading then stop reading and go find a different story to read. Possible Future Works Gundam Wing: It Just Had To Be You Summary: Not all friendships are easy. These friendships, however, are made of something else entirely. Inspiration: This story came about because I was getting a bit bored not to mention annoyed with how everyone assumed that everyone in the series was buddy buddy. To me, I think it would take time and a whole lot of patience for certain characters to reach the friendship level. At best, mostly everyone in the series was either acquaintances or allies. Only a few characters really did become friends. So basically this is my attempt to explore how certain characters ended up becoming friends. Love Is A Battlefield Important Update: First of all, I would like to apologize to the many people who have enjoyed and read the first couple of chapters of this story. I really and truly enjoyed writing this story. I have every intention to finish it someday. Right now, I am having a major case of writer's block. Every time I try to sit down and write a new chapter, nothing comes to me. I was literally writing this story without any kind of outline or guide which was a first for me. Normally I write important plot points down or bounce ideas around with a few of my friends who are into Gundam Wing and various other animes. Right now, the inspiration just isn't there but I PROMISE I will finish this story! Young Justice Words I Can't Say Important Update: Good news! The newest chapter has been uploaded! Because I love this story and the reviewers so much, I posted this chapter without sending it to my beta. I'm thinking we've got maybe two more chapters left (this includes the chapter I just uploaded) but don't quote me on that. It's my goal to be finished with this story before the New Year comes rolling in! If that doesn't happen, I hope you guys stick with me until I complete this story! |
