I know you said that they were out of character, but I don't think that at all. I think you actually did a pretty good job in capturing the unspoken friendship that Kaiba holds with the Yugi-tachi, whether Kaiba wants to admit that it's there or not. Also, it's a really funny idea. Kaiba being stuck in a tree.

This is so funny! I like this story. When I saw Tristan's line "Saving your cat", I couldn't but wonder if he implied Kaiba...sorry, I always connect Kaiba with a cat. The two creature are very much alike, in my opinion...

At the exact moment I read the line 'The cat was once again stuck in the tree and had been there for who knew how long, judging by the amount of meowing it was doing he would guess it was there for a few hours' my little black kitten started meowing from somewhere. I looked for him and found that he was stuck on top of the fish tank, no doubt trying for an early meal.

You got Joey's clumsiness and cockiness, Tristan's cockiness and idioticness, Kaiba's grouchiness and cold-hearted-but-actually-cares-ness, and Mokuba's cuteness. Ehehe... -sweatdrop- Let's just say it in simple terms: You protrayed them all perfectly! And don't even think of replying back that you didn't.. because you did.

I liked it. In all honesty, it's a thing I can see happening in the anime/manga... really! Kaiba going to rescue a stray cat, and Joey and Tristan giving him a hand. And Kaiba saying thank you!

If you like messing with Kaiba so much... then try doing a friendship fic with him and the Pharaoh/Yami/Atem. Hehehe... and with your uncanny (but modest) ability with writing, it'd be brilliant.
