This is EXACTLY how I picture the bond between these two! You know, when you exclude my ultimate love for Puzzleshipping, and we look ONLY at their family/friendship-esque bond XD

Hmm, I seem to have the bad habit of reading something and then not reviewing the first time, only to come back to the story and realize that it deserves a review. Forgive me. )

Anyhow, you portrayed this wonderfully. I always enjoy reading short one-shots with Yuugi and Mou Hitori no Yuugi; with one angsting and the other comforting him. What I really liked about this was that you didn't make Yuugi a sobbing, pathetic boy. His precognition (vision of the future) has reminded him that Yami (forgive me, I grew up watching the dubbed anime) will leave him someday, but until that day comes, he's going to help him regain his memories. And as Yami noted (and something that I always admire), Yugi *is* strong, in his own way. And again, the whole Orichalchos ordeal...I don't think I need to explain that. Despite what Yami did, Yuugi still forgave him.

My favorite part was the end, where Yami promises that even in the afterlife, Yuugi will still be his "aibou." So touching!

*sniff* that was beautiful and so sad. But even more emotional. Fantastc job you really stripped it raw and showed what the partnership really is to the both of them. It made me think of the last novel of the series-I still cry when i read the final chapter. This is spectacular.

And now I'm feeling all angsty and depressed...damnit! LOL joking, this is awesome! I've always wondered about the fact that Yugi seemed so easily accepting Yami's departure at the end of the series. I thought that he'd have a stronger reaction...after all, he is soulfully bonded with the guy! XD

I hate how the manga/anime makes it sound like it is so easy to loose a part of yourself. Um...no. I think not. Very good job!

Nice fic although I still prefer your first one . I just love how you choose to do your fics : concentrate on one little scene and explore it fully...

Atem and Yugi's friendship is really a great subject for a fic, there's so much to write about it, especially when they speak about Atem's future. It's always a bit sad .

Oddly, I don't have quite the same view of their friendship as you describe it in your fic but what I love to do is read about other views, sometimes it makes me wonder, lol. Actually, that's what happened when I read the dialogue about what Yami had said in Yugi's vision. Yami's words are quite frightening when you have them put in a very different context ; like in your fic when they have absolutely no idea of what will happen next. I really liked that aspect.

Add the fact that it is a very original way to reach the subject and that it was also very well written _.

I loved how you described little Yugi . His determination to free Yami despite his very deep relation with him is really touching. And that is what he would have done (XD has done). Yami's views are quite different from mine, but I liked him (XD he's my favourite character, anyway, so of course I liked him...) He was sweet and yet quite distant at the same time... He was really in character, that's just great.

So, thanks again for this great fic and I hope to read more soon. That's what I understood, is it ? lol.

damn you and your sad stories makeing me cry. As much as I love that no matter what they'll always be partners, I hate remembering that Yami has to leave, thats why I like reading things where he never left (none of them includeing Bakura-sensei and Mariku) or where he comes back. DAMN! DX Know I have to go and read something happy upbeat and all around cheerful...but I shal leave you with a cookie. This story was really good and very well done, even though it was sad I liked it a lot, hope to read more by you soon.
