Reviews for The Things I Do for You
KureNo11 chapter 1 . 7/21/2016
in the last chapter of the manga (Yahiko no Sakabatou) it seemed Kenji doesnt hate Kenshin. At the time of this chapter, Kenji had grown a bit, probably at his school age.
orchid14 chapter 3 . 2/12/2015
LOL! Can't believe Kenshin went to Saitou XD That was so cute.
kenkaofan chapter 10 . 12/18/2014

mazboberina chapter 10 . 2/24/2014

superstarAlpha chapter 10 . 5/31/2009
I like it so far, and I'm dieing for you to finish it. I know I've nit picked a couple of chapters through this, a habit of mine, but I think it helps. If you disagree, let me know.

Anyhow... you should finish this. It's good, especially since I"m not this far in the Anime. (i think i might have gotten this far but that was when i was about twelve... so... I don't remember anything about Kenji. Anyways, i like it.
superstarAlpha chapter 8 . 5/31/2009
"In fact, it was almost impossible for a person that didn’t even known him not to see!"

I"m not sure exactly what's being said here, and I think it's because something is in the wrong tense. should it be "know"?
superstarAlpha chapter 6 . 5/31/2009
"Kaoru, why are you so upset over if it's a boy of a girl?"

I think "of" is supposed to be "over"
superstarAlpha chapter 4 . 5/31/2009
This line also upsets clarity becaus you're restating the same thing, "Without waiting for anyone or anything, the little boy charged forward with his shinai, totally catching Kenshin offguard and in a state of shock.

What woke Kenshin out of that state of shock was a searing bolt of pain forcing him on his knees."

The "state of shock" description is not only unnecessary in the second paragraph, but distracts from clarity, as I said. you can take "of shock" out of the second paragraph and it'll be fine.
superstarAlpha chapter 3 . 5/31/2009
I will review at the end, but If I don't put this is now, I never will: "This is just probably just first-timer jitters" The two "just" words make it difficult to understand. I read that three times before i discovered there was two there.
skenshingumi chapter 10 . 9/1/2008
I really like the concept of reliving Kenji's birth as Kenshin remembers it for Kenji. Of course, I am assuming he is editing like mad as he retells the story. I enjoyed both the humor and the sweet and serious parts. For example, I really like how you had Kenshin react to Kaoru buying all the kimono for a baby girl. The frim but serious way he expresses how she needs to let this slide was a nice and real touch, grounding the story and making the relaitonship more real.
Crimson Masquerade chapter 1 . 4/9/2008
Yay for Kenji and Kenshin family fluff! I adore Kenji to death, and am very excited to see how this fic will turn out. :D Well done on your first chapter!

And on another note, I don't think Kenji hates his father, per se (at least in the manga). He just needs to get used to him..._;
avidrkfan chapter 10 . 2/18/2008
Cute rendition of Kenshin as a frantic first time daddy. Had to laugh at the sheer idiotic gallantry of him carrying her and the packages. Too cute!
WildfireDreams chapter 10 . 2/16/2008
Very nice! please write more soon.
DesertRose3000 chapter 10 . 2/16/2008
Babies were usually delivered at home. However, since Megumi is a more modern doctor, she might opt to have Kaoru stay at the clinic. There were some customs that went along with the birth of the infant. The parents didn't tell anyone the baby's name for the first week of its life and then the name was revealed to everyone in a little naming ceremony. Also, the baby's umbilical was dried out and put in a wooden box with a glass lid to be kept forever as a testament to the baby's bond with its mother.
Ruto Kuntai chapter 4 . 7/31/2007
Poor Kenshin, boy he HAD to have the patience of a saint not to yell any earlier. I give Kenshin and author credit for their patience. Nice job making this chapter, I imagine it fun to write, it was interesting to read, because I can only imagine how much patience was ACTUALLY needed.

Great work,

Ruto Kuntai
