Author has written 2 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh. Author Stats: (if anyone cares...) Gender: Female Age: 31 Status: Married, mother of 1 who writes when she has time. Which is not a lot, when you have a 3-year-old. Height: 5'7" Weight: Normal Appearance: Green eyes (or hazel, whichever you'd prefer) Dark blonde hair (that absolutely refuses to hold any shape but flat) and pale skin, due to the fact that I don't tan well. No-one in my family tans; we rust instead. Yeah, bad joke... Other screen names: On A03 and YouTube I'm just Renaiya, and I don't have any videos uploaded because my computer doesn't like me. Working on getting my work on A03. Fanfic subjects: Patrick O'Brian's Master and Commander series. (Books, not the movie.) Harry Potter Yu Gi Oh Fan of: Various anime and manga, including but not limited to, Rurouni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, Code Geass, Alice 19th, Fushigi Yuugi, and Yu Yu Hakusho. I'm a bibliophile who spends most of her extra money on books. My favorite authors include Brian Jacques, Lois McMaster Bujold, J.K. Rowling, Patrick O'Brian, Christopher Paolini, and others far too numerous to mention here. I also love cheesy 90's movies like Major Payne, Hook, Robin Hood, The Three Musketeers, and Angels in the Outfield. There's something about them... Early 1900's comedians, like Abbot and Costello Hobbies: Collecting jokes Surfing YouTube Handicrafts: knitting, sewing, etc. Reading Writing Anything and everything music, be it listening to or playing. Drawing Favorite Sayings: It's better to shoot for the stars and land in the trees, than to shoot for the trees and land in the mud. Why, yes. I DO own a spellchecker. And I use it, too. Stress is when you wake up screaming and realize you haven't fallen asleep yet. Some days you're the bug. Other days you're the windshield. The villagers are coming with torches and pitchforks. Please hide me. On a Personal Note: I never post a story until the original form has absolutely NO red underlinings, and as little green underlinings as possible while maintaining the emphasis I want to achieve. For those of you who don't know what I mean, I never post anything until all the words are spelled correctly, and there are as little grammar errors as possible while still being written the way I want. And if any errors are posted that somehow slipped through my screening process, I apologize wholeheartedly. It is one of my biggest letdowns to find a fic with a good plotline, whose perfection is ruined by typos or grammar errors. Little slip-ups don't bother me so much, but I can't help but wonder if some authors even bother to read their chapters/fics over even once before posting. I've seen some obvious typos that surely would have been noticed if the authors had carefully read their fics over before posting. I wholeheartedly agree with the writers of the various "Fanfiction Academy" fics: There are some things that shouldn't be written. As I told Natalie the other day, "Someone should invent plot-bunny traps. They should not be foolproof, however; instead, they should be designed to keep all the really BAD ideas out, and let the decent ones pass unharmed." Oh, well. I can dream, can't I? Spellchecker Jokes: Your stupid? My stupid what? Your throws of ecstasy send me into throes of amusement. Rouge is a color. A rogue isn't. You can defuse a bomb. Diffusing it might be a bad idea. Your is not mine. You're means 'you are.' Per se means of itself. Per say is only how you pronounce it. If you really did have baited breath, you would smell rather fishy. Thru is only a word if you are referring to getting a hamburger in your car. A horde is a large group, often unruly. To hoard is to gather, and often references dragons. A lot is two words, and means 'many'; allot means 'to distribute.' 'All ready' means one is prepared. Already is 'by this time' see also PREVIOUSLY Fire is fiery. Burn all misspellings. "It's" with an apostrophe means "it is" "Its" without an apostrophe is a possessive. (Its house/ its own/ its place, etc.) FOR THOSE WHO THINK PUNCTUATION DOESN'T MATTER, CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING: Woman, without her man, is nothing. Woman: without her, man is nothing. Think about it for a moment...the only difference is the punctuation, yet it changes the entire meaning. Looking for a better joke? Check out YuGiOh the Abridged Series on Youtube. So good, they removed it twice! (Last I knew.) If that's not enough of LittleKuriboh's work, do a YouTube search for 'Bakura gets a job at YouTube.com' |
