Hunted

On a cold, snowy night, howls and snow being crunched were heard. Wolves are running, blowing puffs of clouds as they breathe. The pack consists of 5 wolves. The leader of the pack was the furthest back, trying to help and watch the others as they try to get away. Gun-shots were fired. The leader turned and saw that the gun was aimed at one of its pack members. As the bullet emerged, the wolf jumped in the way. Blood splattered as the other wolves stopped running and turned, only to see their leader shot down with blood oozing out of its left, front foreleg.
