I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure a traumatized individual isn't afraid of their rescuer. Wouldn't Natsume be more if of a reminder of the beginning of when things stated to look up instead of the dark days?

I had fun reading the story. At first I was reluctant to continue reading as there were POV parts and in most of the stories I read, it kinda takes out the beauty of the story. But I'm glad I pushed through. Any thoughts of making a Ruka-Hotaru story?

I love the plot itself and how you worded it. How their characters progress..I like how you characterized Natsume in all your stories..I love his being very protective, possessive, and how his sweetness and love towards Mikan develops..he really possess having an unconditional love towards Mikan..This is a very heartwarming story to read..Congrats!

Can't express sufficiently how wonderful I find your writing and admire the thought in which you must have put into this to make it the success that it is. Thank you so much for the time and hard work, and I must say that it's by far my favourite Gakuen Alice fic.

I'm still getting over the shock that Mikan actually took care of the terrorist by herself because of the depth of horror that had been attached to the events of five years past, but I suppose the bigger purpose is to show that it has come full circle, and the girl who quivered, battered and on the brink of no return has become a strong woman now. The fact that Natsume had not needed to come to her rescue was significant (but surprising). Full circle, also, how Mikan comforted Natsume as he did her on the day Tsubasa freaked her out. That was brilliant. Finally, the epilogue in which Narumi finally gets over himself regarding Natsume marrying and sleeping with Mikan was quite epic. Yuka has laughing from heaven.

Yuu having come in to see them in the wake of Tequila was very entertaining, and I can't get the comment about how Mikan ought to have been a pirate out of my head... But the scene I admire most from this chapter would undoubtedly be where Ruka's affection for Mikan was acknowledged without him having to put it to words. The way Natsume anticipated it and addressed it, with a reference to the change that Mikan brought Ruka (which only just set me realising that, yeah, Ruka be indeed changed though I had always attributed to Mikan becoming better acquainted with him) and how he was apologetic since Ruka would never kill him... The threads of trust, faith, a shared past and a shared love came together astonishingly well under your hand. Plus the friendly scene to which Mikan woke up to- those two having a claim to her somehow- finished it off brilliantly. Great job.

I was truly quite surprised that Tsubasa's person was so different from that of the manga, as well as the role he played in the previous chapters, but I think you managed it wonderfully. I didn't think about it, but in a way, addressing Mikan's weakness and PTSD after a break whereby it merely seemed as though Mikan was strong and healed really adds depth to this story. Makes it keep away from being fairytale like, for Mikan is every inch human and still haunted... I love it too that Tsubasa's actions not only made Natsume mad, but Ruka and Yuu... How Mikan is so clearly one of them and someone they protected, and not simply because she made good base support or was Natsume's fiance. It's enviable, yet like you managed to convey because of Tsubasa's perspective, a bit hard to believe without taking everything into context and some stretch of imagination. Issues coming up with respect to trusting Ruka really made the story so much more relatable, in a way. And how Ruka preferred to get hurt as Ruka instead of unhurt as a stranger- that's really impactful. I never thought of it that way but it made sense, particularly to him who liked Mikan. Finally, I think it surprising yet wonderful that Natsume doesn't ever interfere with Ruka when he's training Mikan. The respect for his friend's skill and discretion, as well as an acknowledgement of how training will involve getting hurt, how being Mikan's protective boyfriend therefore becomes secondary... Amazing, and wonderful. *thumbs up*
