I Am A Vampire

Sorry for another late update x_x my hectic days gone longer than I have expected =( thank you for those who always stay with me ;D I hope you would enjoy this chapter!

Chapter 18

Mikan's POV

It's been two months since our vicious fight with Persona. Now the vampires live in peace without any disturbance from dirtyblood vampires. Tsubasa-nii and the royal troops are the ones who eliminate all the dirtyblood vampires, and they make sure that each of them was burned to ashes.

I know that the possibility of the diryblood vampires to popped out again are quite big, but Tsubasa-nii has promised the citizen that he and the troops will take care of them. Perhaps his words aren't proven yet, but I'm sure he is capable enough to do that.

"You look stupid like that, Polka."

I nearly jump hearing the sudden voice of that jerk which I would recognize anywhere. I quickly turn around and throw a menacing glare at him for scaring me like that. "What are you doing here?" I ask, crossing my arms in front of my chest.

His infamous smirk emerged on his lips as he put both of his hands in his pocket and walk dashingly towards me. "Can't I visit my half?"

I look away, hiding my blush. I am still uncomfortable with that words, although it has been quite a long time since I knew that he is my half. Knowing that, Natsume often tease me by always calling me 'his half'.

Well, I know it's not that bad, but still, it's so embarassing!

"Hey, Polka." He nudged me, and it made me looked into his mesmerizing crimson eyes. "How do you feel now?" Natsume's voice really soft that I nearly couldn't hear it if I wasn't a vampire.

I hide my smile and fake a cough. "I feel fine now. After drinking your blood that much, I'd never experience any headache ever again." I said, chuckling.

Natsume rolled his eyes and pulled me into his arms. "You really drain up my blood you know, sucking it like that."

I burried my head on Natsume's chest, hiding my blush, again. "It's not my fault." I replied in a small voice. "My body is the one screaming for your blood."

I could feel Natsume's smirk appeared again.

"Really? Your body's the one who screamed for it huh. How about my body then?"

I looked up, confused. "What do you mean?"

Natsume leaned down and whispered into my ear. "I mean, how about my need of drinking your blood?" His hot breath made me squealed unconsciously as I tried to jump back, but failed since Natsume's strong hands trapped me in his hug.

"How is it, Polka? Do I have your permission now?" He asked huskily. I could feel his fangs tracing my neck, and it caused me feels goosebumps everywhere.

"A-ah, I – well." I stuttered, my brain feels numb.

"I take that as a yes." He replied, and licked my neck.

Without warning, his fangs broke my skin and he burried them deep in my neck.

I gasped, feeling hot all of sudden as my blood rushed out onto the place where Natsume begin sucking my blood without any noise.

"N-natsume!" I protested weakly, as i tried to push him away.

But it's futile, as he is clearly far stronger than me, even if he isn't half human half vampire.

"Hmm. Your blood is really something." Natsume said after a while. He retracted his fangs and lick the bite wounds until they are half healed.

I feel light headed as I try to balance myself. If Natsume didn't anchored his arms on my waist, I would have fallen flat on my face.

"Hey, Polka. Are you okay? I didn't suck that much," He put his palm gently on my cheek and stared at me.

I tried to focus on his face, but everything become blur so quickly that I don't have time to say anything before finally I lose my consciousness.

Natsume's POV

"Polka?" I hide my panic when she fell forward onto my chest.

What's wrong with her? I didn't suck her blood that much, only a bit, I just taste her, why did she faint?

"This is not good." I grumbled to myself, as I lifted Polka bridal style and put her on her bed.

Sigh. Why did this always happen? I don't understand.

Polka's body is a strong one, she is a royal pureblood after all, but why she can't hold up my blood tasting? I just suck her a bit for goodness sake!

I look at her peaceful face and pull away some strands of her hair, looking at the wounds on her neck which I made just now.

It supposed to be okay. Why then?

Knock knock.

"Mikan, Natsume? Are you in there? It's time for lunch."

I slowly get up and open the door, and immediately met with the queen's eyes equally.

"Sorry, mother. Mikan is unconscious."

The queen frowned. She looked confused and panic at the same time. "What happened to her? Did she collapse again?"

"No, please relax mother." I took a deep breath, wondering how to tell her about this. "Well -." I coughed a bit, clearing my throat. "I kind of suck her blood, mother, and she just fainted." I finally gave her the answer. "and I swear I just sucked her blood a bit." I added in a hurry seeing that her eyes begin to widen.

What I didn't expect is the queen to laugh.

I blinked my eyes in surprise. I expected to be lectured, or something like that, not a laugh.

"Goodness, Natsume." The queen still chuckling happily. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh at you, but you just look so confused and scared at the same time too!" She said, laughting again.

I want to sulk so bad, but I can't. I have to act mature.

Damn it.

Am I that obvious? The queen could read my emotion really well, and i didn't show any emotion just now. Or did i?

"Ah, I apologize for laughing at you, dear. But you see, it's fine if the girl fainted. It's the first time after all." The queen explained while beaming widely.

I frowned. "Do you mean that it is normal for the girl to faint after being sucked by her half?"

The queen nodded. "Yes, I don't know why, perhaps its the weakness of the royal pureblood, but from time to time, it always happen. I experienced that too when your father sucked my blood."

"The king?"

"Yes, he is your father Natsume." The queen said gently, patting my cheek.

"Yes, mother." I replied to her quickly before she could say anything more about them being my parents. "So, is she going to be okay?" I asked after a while in a quiet voice.

The queen smiled calmly. "Of course. Just wait by her side."

"Thank you mother."

Mikan's POV

When I open my eyes, it's already dark outside, and somehow I could make out Natsume's sillouhette standing beside the sofa while staring outside the window.

"Ugh. Natsume?" I squeaked with a hoarse voice.

He reached my side in just a second. His crimson eyes looked bright in this dark room. "How do you feel, Polka?"

"Uh, fine I guess?" I answered confusedly, as I felt nothing wrong with my body.

Natsume sighed and took a seat on the corner of my bed. "You fainted right after I sucked your blood."

I just hope that the darkness of the room could hide my blush from Natsume's sight.

"You suck my blood without my permission!"

Natsume smirked while his body leaned onto me slowly. "Really? Then why did you let me? You should have fight me off."

I looked away. "W-well, it's my body."

Natsume let out a low chuckle and gave me a warm hug. "Keep reasoning Polka. I know that you want it. It feels good right?"

"What?! What are you talking about you pervert?!" I shouted and hit his shoulder none too lightly.

"That hurts little girl." Natsume commented huskily, his fangs graze my neck, again.

I squeaked and pushed him away. "Stop it Natsume!"

"Shut it Polka." He growled and without any warning, he pounced on me.

I shouted in suprise when he suddenly glomp on me, pushing my hands away and started to kiss me like there is no tomorrow.

My body started to burn but in a nice way, and my heart thumping like its ready to jump out from my chest. My fist tightened on his muscled shoulder while his hand held my cheek gently.

It's really embarassing actually, to tell you about my kiss like this, but.. I kind of enjoy it though, being kissed by a handsome man – don't tell him this – well, who doesn't?

7 years later..

I look at the body-length mirror, staring at my own reflection.

Why do I feel like there is something wrong with my dress?

"Relax Mikan, you look beautiful." I heard a gentle voice which I have known so well from behind me.

I turned around,causing my white mermaid styled dress flowing around me like a flower.

"Mother! When did you get in?"

"Just when you give out a really long sigh, dear." My mother answered and chuckled. She stepped forward, took some hairpin, and pushed me down so I would sit on my bed. "Hold still for a moment."

My mother skillfully arranged my waist-length golden brown hair into a pretty fishtail braid and let it fall on my left shoulder, then she pinned my naughty hairs to make them neat.

I let out another sigh. "I am so nervous mother."

My mother smiled and patted my cheek. "You will be fine, Mikan. Don't worry. Natsume will be there."

I looked down and stared at my slightly bulging stomach, caressing it gently with both of my hand.

Ugh. Natsume you stupid jerk! You are the one who made me impure before the right time.

"They won't judge you, it's alright." My mother said again with another calming smile. "We all love the baby, you shouldn't mind what others thoughtof it."

"But the press! They will be there, right?" I looked up to her, bitting my lower lip.

"I think they won't notice it. The baby is only four months old anyway."

"But what if they say something about my baby?"

My mother patted my head. "Then it's fine, no matter what, it is yours and Natsume's child anyway, they don't have any right to say anything about it." She gave a final touch to my hair and put all the unused hair pin away. "Now, let's go, Natsume is waiting for you."

I let out another sighs I stood up and followed her. "Alright mother."

He is there, standing in front of a white pillar, looking dashingly handsome with his slick raven hair and a neat black tuxedo combined with a crimson red tie.

I slowly walked towards him, carefully, so that I won't trip on my own dress.

When he saw me, he quickly stride towards me before I could take another step.

"Hey there, Polka." Natsume greeted me, kissed my forehead, and his arm circled around my waist.

Weird? No. Natsume has been like this since he knew that I'm pregnant with his child. Guess Natsume does have a soft side.

"I'm nervous." I said softly as Natsume pulled my hand and stood by my side, facing a big oak door.

Natsume smirked and squeezed my hand. "I am the one who is suppose to be nervous."

I let out a short chuckle. "Well, I guess you are right."

"Prince Natsume, Princess Mikan. The ceremony will start." One of the event organizer said, looking busy and all.

Natsume gave him a short nod and straightened his posture, while I reached up and fixed his crooked tie.

"You look fine now." I commented with a satisfied smile.

Natsume let a small smile grace his lips. "Ready?" He asked me.

"Of course." I answered as we walk together towards the open door.

"Today we gathered here for the crowning of the new king and queen." The priest said, opening the ceremony. "We have known Prince Natsume as a wise man, although sometimes he would erupted dangerously."

The audience laugh hearing this, even father and mother laugh too. While Natsume just stand silently, grasping my hand, as if to prevent him from hitting the priest.

I wanted to laugh so bad either, but I held myself and just let my smile a little bit widen.

Natsume gave me a second glare, he knows that I am laughing on him too, but I just ignore it and let myself focus on the priest again.

"We also know that Princess Mikan is a good hearted one." The priest continued, reach forward to take a shiny looking sword with a crest on its hilt. "Based on the Vampire Council, and the King and the Queen of Vampire, we have chosen that they will inherit their throne as the next King and Queen. But if there is anyone in the audience who rejected them, just stand up and tell us the reason, the council will listen to your telling."

I hold my breath and turn my head around for a bit. I'm afraid that there will be someone who don't like us to be their leader.

My mother said that this part is always the most wrought-up moment in the coronation ceremony, but she told me that there will be nobody who would object our rise to the throne because we will make a good leader, but well, although mother has already said something like that, there is still doubt lurking around my heart.

"There is nobody objecting little girl." Natsume said in a soft whisper.

I nearly squealed out of happiness, but I must keep my composure so I just squeeze Natsume's hand really hard and give him a side grin.

Natsume rolled his eyes to me, but I know he is happy too in his own way.

"On behalf of the vampire world, I, Cornelius, the vampire priest, will grant Prince Natsume Hyuuga and Princess Mikan Yukihara the throne of the vampire world as the new King and Queen." The priest said, pressed the sword lightly on both of Natsume's shoulder, and mine.

The audience decently clap their hands as the priest gesture us to stand up.

In junction with that, my father and mother walked forward, standing in front of us while the priest back up and put the sword away.

"Please, choose wisely and be responsible of your choices. Put your people first before you, and take care of my daughter. I know you will be a good King, son." My father said, patting Natsume's shoulder while lifting his own crown and place it on Natsume's head.

"Manner is important, always be ladylike, and keep your composure. Always support your King and never stop to love your people. I trust you for the throne, sweetheart." My mother smiled and hug me, while putting her own crown on my head, just like my father did.

We are told to sit on the throne while father and mother step down, back to their respectful seats.

"Hail for the new King and Queen of the vampire world!" The priest shouted, followed by the mass.

I look at Natsume and smiled as he give me my favorite half smile.

"We'll be fine." He whispered. "I know you will be a good Queen."

I arched my eyebrows, surprise at his choice of words. Its rare for him to praise me so straight forward like that.

"What?"

"Nothing." I slightly shake my head and beam at him. "I know you will be a good King too, because I know you too well."

Natsume rolled his eyes and let out a short chuckle. "Stupid Polka."
